This yeast is perfect for my baking, I did put it into a jar so I could store inside the fridge when I opened it. Great product.

If you make your own bread and don't buy in bulk you're defeating at least one of the purposes of making your own bread, saving money.I buy for in 25 or 50 lbs bags about $11 for 25lbs or $20 for 50lbs, this is for top quality bread flour. Molasses, $17 a gallon, and this yeast isn't even the price of 2 jars of yeast at the Wal store for many times that quantity.Freeze the yeast once you open it and let it return to refrigerated temperature before using it. I refill a jar when it gets low. The jar of yeast is kept in the fridge. Flour is supposed to last at least 8 months sealed and unrefrigerated. I had no problems using that much flour before 8 months was up. With 50lbs bag I put half in sealed tubs in the refrigerator so should be no problems.With bread flour at about $6 for 5lbs and yeast at almost $6 a jar it's easy to see the benefit of buying bread supplies in bulk. Good Bread is $5 a loaf or more. I figure I'm saving $20 to $30 a week just on bread.

I HAVE USED ABOUT ONE HALF OF THE YEAST IN THIS PACKAGE TO MAKE 2-3 LOAVES OF FRENCH BREAD PER WEEK, SINCE I RECEIVED IT. IT IS MUCH HANDIER AND MUCH MORE ECONOMICAL THAN THE SMALL PACKAGES SOLD IN FOOD STORES. I STORE IT IN A SEALED JAR IN THE REFRIGERATOR. I AM VERY PLESED WITH THE RESULTS, AND SHALL REORDER WHEN MY CURRENT STOCK RUNS LOW.

Baking ability

This is a good buy when you are Into baking and use a lot of yeast it just makes more sense to buy in bulk it keeps for a year but make sure that you put it in the refrigerator in a tight container and it will keep much better than in your cupboard to 2-1/2 Tablespoons are equal to one of the packets

I’m a home baker and I’m bake a lot. I buy in bulk because otherwise I would run out of yeast constantly and it’s more economical to buy it in larger amounts. Great brand it always rises

It took me about three years to use this up, and the yeast stayed healthy and functional (in the fridge). It makes great bread. It's yeast. Not a lot to say.
