Mastering Windows NT Server 4

I bought this largely on Amazon recommendations as part of my preparation for the MCSE exam series. It's a good read, but difficult to use as a reference to figure out why on earth the answer to a sample exam question was (a), not (b). I hoped the CD would overcome some of the failures of the index, but it's so cumbersome to use that it's almost useless. If they would provide an index-only function which you could store on your hard drive, and use the book for text, it would be a truly useful resource. I also get the feeling that Mark got paid by the word, or perhaps by the pound, but all in all I would recommend it.

This is an excellent form of reference for a great operating system. If you can nut it up and read this entire book and truly digest all of the information, then you will become an NT GOD. Heck, even if you remember a quarter of all the information, you'll be an NT GOD. My current job requires knowledge of NT Server, but I don't need to be an MCSE. For me, it's like killing a mosquito with a cannon, but I'm a junkie when it comes to thirsting for IT knowledge. I can't get enough! Whether it's how to create a transparent background in Photoshop, learning a new Mac OS shortcut, or learning Win NT 4, I love it all!!!

I thought the product was exactly what I needed at the time that I purchased it and the purchase process was smooth and efficient.

Completed the course with the required book. Would not recomend for lite reading and is now way out of date.

This book provides excellent coverage of NT4. There are very, very few questions left unanswered by the contents of this book. Excellent reference for me on the job. I first checked this book out in the library and found I needed it for every day. Plus, excellent price AMAZON and thanks for using USPS.
