Sleek, attractive, easy to keep clean, nice space saving shape.
I'd been using a Rubbermaid garbage can in the kitchen for many years. Even using a disposable compostable liner, dust, dirt, pieces of food would get stuck in the many nooks and crannies and ridges. The only way to get stuff out of the grooves was to hose it down in the bath tub. Some of the corners and grooves were just too narrow and inaccessible to clean completely.I now feel liberated by my kitchen garbage can. It's sleek, modern and perpetually clean. Dirt and small pieces of garbage have no place to hide.Nice apparatus to open the lid with your foot; it then self-closes oh so gently. I like the shape of it - narrow enough to save space but wide enough so I can easily reach inside if I need to.

Looks Nice and Made Well
I wanted a nice trash can that wasn't too large for my kitchen area. I had been looking at another well known brand that really wasn't worth what they were asking.I am very pleased with my purchase. It's just the right size, has a nice finish and a removable plastic can liner. This ticks all the boxes I had. You won't be disappointed.

Good can but does not fit Hefty 13 gallon bags
I have been using this (50 liter, 13.2 gallon) for couple of months. So far I like it and it is sturdy and easy to clean. However, I really wanted to ask the commenters who said it fits standard 13-gallon garbage bags perfectly: where do you buy your garbage bags? What brand do you buy? Because apparently the ones I got (hefty 13 gallon) do not fit at all. The top of the garbage bags are smaller than the opening of the can, so they don’t really hold in place. Also, the can is taller than these bags, I had to put something at the bottom to raise the bottom, otherwise the garbage bags would fall entirely. Later I got some 15 gallon bags they seem fit at the top. But then I have so many 13 gallon barrage bags left…

Slender but full-size
I purchased this trash can for my kitchen to fit on a small wall. Its size and shape are perfect for keeping the trash can out of sight. It leaves little to no fingerprints or marks, which means fewer things to clean.

Very sturdy and clean
Very sturdy and closes quietlyIt holds 13 gallon bags but the only flaw is when you put the bag it comes back out when you slide the bin backOr maybe its me, but overall very good for its price

1 Big Plus + 1 Big Minus
I bought this trash can about a month ago. It replaced a plastic Hefty brand kitchen garbage can which also has a foot pedal opening thing.First off, I don't know how this is called smudge proof- it isn't. I, personally, don't have such lofty expectations of a garbage can, and don't care about that, but if that feature is important to you, this probably won't meet your expectations.Next, regular size (13 gallon) garbage bags fit perfectly. People who claim in reviews that those don't fit are probably trying to fit the trash bag around the *entire* interior garbage can. Instead, the garbage bag fits around the interior *liner can*- the lightweight garbage can that sits inside the actual garbage can. 13 gallon bags fit that just fine.Okay so with that out of the way, my biggest compliment for this can is smell control. This can doesn't let icky smells out like my Hefty can did. It's a huge difference! Once that can lid closes, I don't smell the garbage at all. I don't create much trash so I can use the same garbage bag for 4 days. I have a stinky cat- whom I love despite his chronic diarrhea- but it is *so nice* to have a garbage can that contains that poop smell that could make me question my devotion to him on bad days. Yay!Biggest downside to this can is the *lack of bag holding fixture!* Omg how can a trash can (at this price point!) not have a proper bag fastener! My Hefty garbage can had a plastic piece that fit around the interior of the lid. It would drop down easily to hold the bag in place within the can. Simple and effective. This can has no such convenience. What is supposed to hold the bag in place, my force of will? There is a small hole in the back of the can that another brand of trash can almost identical to this one shows (via video on their Amazon product page) a woman twirling the back of the trash bag and wedging it into the hole as if this voodoo will hold the bag full of weighty garbage in place. Maybe physics works differently inside the liminal space of a garbage can? I don't know but I can't do the twirly magic so getting the trash bag to hold steady within the can has become the bane of my simple existence. I lift the empty liner out. Put the bag in. So far so good. Then I go to put the liner back into the garbage can and the sides of the bag (which have nothing to fasten them) flutter up in one or more corners as I insert the liner into the can. It's kinda similar to putting a !#*/$! fitted bedsheet onto your mattress: put one corner on, another pops up. It's not *exactly* the same- if you want perfect metaphors read Shakespeare- but it's close enough. Because of this, every time I change out the garbage bag, I hurt my hand trying to hold the bag in place as I slide the insert into the can. It's so frustrating! This is far and away my chief complaint. Finally, there is the auto close feature which works well so if that's a selling point for you, it seems like this can will fulfill your auto-closing trash bin dreams. I find it annoying because I have no patience and don't like smelling the garbage as the lid takes it's sweet time closing. So I push the lid shut myself probably hurting its self-esteem immeasurably as this is clearly an important selling point of this unit, but that is a risk I'm willing to take.TL; DR:🔸Smell containment 👍🔸13 gallon bag fit 👍🔸Nice looking 👍🔸When did garbage cans get so expensive?? 👎🔸Not smudgeproof 👎🔸It NEEDS a non- painful, non- magical means of fastening the bag! 👎
