Crafting & Executing Strategy: The Quest for Competitive Advantage: Concepts and Cases

This book, was amazing current, with information on what is going on in businesses up to 2011. The case studies were awesome and gave ground for a lot of discussions in class. My only problem with this book, it that it does not have any e-version. Of my entire graduate level education, this is the first physical book I HAD to buy, since there was not a electronic version of it. At this day and age, a publication that does not have a digital version is simply stupid. If you do not have an electronic version available, do not launch the final product in paper. Of my entire MBA this is the only physical book I had to buy and because of that I will not keep it, like I did with all my electronic versions of the books I bought, so, I rented instead. Very poor judgement of the publisher, whom I contacted just to learn that they will have the electronic version sometime in 2014. Well by then I would already have graduated. No cool...

I rented this book from Amazon, and I would tell you that I liked it so much that I will be using it for future references. I used it for my Strategic Management class for Supervision and Management.I had to do about four presentations from the cases of this book. I enjoyed the cases in this book, I even read most of them. like I said I will be using this version or future versions of this book for references.

This wasn't my favorite textbook, but I did enjoy the thorough case studies at the end of the book. I used those more than the chapter contents by far. Regardless, this was a mandatory purchase. I did appreciate the Amazon rental option as I am someone who doesn't like to hold onto unnecessary items.

The book is in a good condition - no any highlight, no underline, everything like a 95% new.Additionally, I bought this Textbook after I already enrolled. I never expected I would get the book in time buy "yes", I got it in only 3 days after placing the order. The seller was helpful to change the shipping method for me from post office to UPS.Thanks! I'm now working for "A" grade. I'm so excited.

In general this textbook is fine - all the content of the main body of the text is the same except that this version of the 19th edition does not include the section of case studies that the insanely overpriced version sold at my college's bookstore has. Unfortunately for me, those case studies are a part of my professor's curriculum. Fair warning, check with the professor to see if they will be using the case studies before buying this text.

Purchased this book for my husband's Master's Program, not thinking much about it. I received a newly bound book along w some earbuds as a complimentary gift for being a new customer. When I say newly bound, the seller did not think the book cover was in good enough condition, and polished w new bounding, which does extend the book life. It was a very nice gesture. Very satisfied. Thank you again!

Colourful pages make for ease or reading and there are some excellent case studies. However, I wish that the case examples had the solutions included since half of the textbook covers case examples.

This book really helped me to gain insight into Strategic Management. It had an easy to follow layout as well as good examples. I was successful in passing my MBA course using this text and I can safely say that I am equipped with the necessary knowledge in this field.

Much more battered than description indicated and numerous highlighting- pencil underlining and stars drawn through out despite description saying none of this was there

For 'good' quality I expect sth better. The book is worn out, quality is rather 'acceptable'

best you can find for this hard to get book, not much you can do every year a new edition so they can charge more..... but seller was great to deal with
