Paula's Choice SKIN BALANCING Ultra-Sheer Daily Defense SPF 30 Oil-Free Moisturizer, 2 Ounce Tube

It's rare that I write reviews, but felt this product definitely warranted one. I will be concise. I have combination skin. I've been looking for something that's not heavy or pasty, but light, non-greasy, and fast-absorbing. This product checks al the boxes; I was caught off-guard by how light it is. And my face felt appropriately moisturized. This will be my go-to from now on. Paula's Choice, DO NOT change the formula!

I have been using this product for over a month and have had no issues with it. This is my main sunscreen that I use nowadays. Although it is a chemical sunscreen, it does not irritate my skin or break me out at all. It takes a few minutes to blend into the skin, but once it does I do not notice it is even there. It is moisturizing enough that I do not have to slather a large amount on. It doesn't really control my oily skin as it suggests it can do, but I do have really oily skin so no product other than maybe accutane can remedy the overactive sebum glands. Overall, this is a good moisturizer/sunscreen to use if you have no issues with chemical sunscreens.

I have been using this for the past two weeks. So far, I like it, but not like loving it. I bought this with the intention of layering it under my physical sunscreen; I figured it's the summer and double protection can never hurt. BTW, I have normal skin with occasional break out from the warm weather, menstruation, and stress... Pros: very light, dry touch, no white cast (like those from physical sunscreen), fast absorbed, no fragrance... Cons: sting my eyes, NO MOISTURIZTION (you def NEED to apply face moisturizer despite the fact it claims to be a moisturizer), cause those white things when you are still trying to spread it even and generously on my face... I suggest only use it in the summer, wait for it to be absorbed for a good 5 mins or so before you put make up on. Do not let it get near to your eye area, OUCH! UPDATED: went to the pool ystday with my boyfriend who has extremely sensitive skin and rosacea. I put this on his face before we headed out. He had allergy reaction within 10 mins that he had to wash it off immediately.... so steer cleared if you have rosacea too.

This product is exactly what I was looking for and I really love it. It’s light weight but still provides the spf without being greasy. I initially rated 4 stars because I felt like the tube was really small and it wasn’t going to last and I couldn’t justify the price if I’d be buying more every month. But after using the product awhile longer I realized a little really does go a long way. So I’ve updated my review.

I have used Paula’s choice off and on for 20 years. I have always loved the lotion and quality I have ordered from the actual Paula’s Choice website. However, sometimes items are not in stock, or to avoid the shipping price, I have ordered from Amazon. This time the lotion feels much thinner and is very yellowed in color. Something is definitely different, I hope the company that bought out Paula’s Choice in 2021 didn’t start taking short cuts or thinning down the formulas. If I get another bottle like this one, I won’t keep using it.

I have oily skin so this is a great daily moisturizer with SPF. I love all of Paula’s stuff and her science/ingredient based products that are reasonably priced.

Great option for a lightweight SPF moisturizer. I have oily skin, and I still feel like it works well for me under makeup. It's not exactly mattifying (it's not really meant to be), but it doesn't exacerbate the oiliness either. Really light smell; not a heavy sunscreen smell like some have. I think I will probably not use this for my daily moisturizer since I work in an office and SPF isn't usually my priority, but I like having this on hand for days I will have sun exposure.

This stuff is AMAZING. I try a lot of face products due to having sensitive skin and acne when younger. This is my most favorite face lotion with sunscreen in it. It is very light, non-oily, and absorbs very fast. You only need a very small amount and it goes a long way. Also, it will not make your face white. I use this if I am going to be in the sun or if I think I may be in the sun. It wears very light. I would recommend this over any over the counter sunscreens.

I love this product, I've been struggling to find a spf that is good on sensitive and oily and spotty skin. This fits the bill, it sinks in quickly, protects and doesn't clog up my face or add oil.
