Tiger Kit Eco Wood Preserver 5L, Concentrate, Long Lasting, Powder, Acid-based, Grey, Silver, Wood, 2 x 13.5 x 6.5 cm

I bought this a while ago and have just used it on my wooden raised beds, made from pallet collars. It is easy to mix and paint on, and turned the wood a nice light grey colour when dry. Now I will wait to see if it prolongs the life of the beds.

Happy to review this product. I was a bit uncertain when I purchased it and wanted it specifically to treat the wood used for a feeding station for hedgehogs to protect it from rotting on wet ground and following heavy rain. It very thin and watery looking so didn't look like it would be effective but after giving it three coats I was able to paint over it and put it out. It's been safe for wildlife and after many months of use the wood shows no sign of deterioration wherever the paint has worn off. This has worked really well and I only needed a small amount leaving plenty for further use. Very pleased indeed.

East to mix with water and use. The slight colour change to the wood is acceptable.It will stain your concrete slabs orange if you are not supper careful when using it.

Nice product, works well, after 6 months, through rain and bitter cold, the wood has held up quite well. Wood pieces from the same panel that was not treated with this product during this same time has suffered degradation.

I bought this to treat a wooden chicken coop as it stated was non toxic. The instructions were easy to use. The pot is easy to dispense the powder. The issue is that even if you vigorously stir and keep stirring, the powder turns to rock in the bottom of your container. I only used 1lt at a time, and wasted half the mixes as the powder kept turning to rock in the bottom. Can't comment if it works as only just applied.

After reading down the long list of things to beware with other clear preservatives on the market, I decided to try out Tiger Kit. It's easy to use and, with a sprayer, very quick to apply; it's also a fraction of the price of the others.You can certainly tell that you've applied it by the aged and silvered appearance of the timber, so I'm looking forward to years of preserved timber.
