They look good and sound even better
I have used these for 4 years and felt in this moment, while listening to Justice on vinyl, compelled to leave a review. I initially bought these to be a sleek speaker pair for my budding synthesizer setup; they excelled in that context with delightful punch and balance. Then I got asked to DJ a wedding on 24 hours notice. It was in another state and at a small, outdoor venue (think courtyard). I took these speakers in my suitcase and they filled the space amazingly well. The maid of honor—my good friend and live music aficionado—told me the speakers sounded remarkably good... and I agreed. These speakers are lookers and they also perform. They are now the speakers I have hooked up to my record player and, in conjunction with my turntable, they have revealed new depth to songs I enjoy (no lie; I heard some dude parts on The Marias - Cinema that I hadn't noticed before).Overall, highly recommend for almost any use. If you need studio monitors, I would look elsewhere. But if you are looking for listening speakers in a small-to-medium-sized space, these are phenomenal.

Great little speakers
Great for the price. The sound is pretty rich for such inexpensive speakers. I have these in an apartment so I'm not blasting music. They work for me. Attractive classic design. They fit perfect on my bookshelves. Super easy set up.

Edifier R1700BTs Active Stereo Speaker set Excellent Sound and Easy to use
Edifier's stereo speaker set is technology done beautifully. I bought a set of these speakers for my granddaughter's use in her college dorm room. These are elegantly finished enclosures with perfectly sized drivers individually driven by two amplifiers fed by a signal processor designed to provide the best sound quality possible from this combination of parts. Separate bass and treble controls allow the user to further tweak the sound to perfection. The Bluetooth input is clear and easy to access. It's also easy to switch to the line level input. I like the fact that there is a subwoofer output to drive deep bass when she moves to larger quarters. I tested the subwoofer channel and drove a Klipsch 150W thumper to completely fill the audio spectrum with gusto. Sounded Fantastic! For now, she has an Audio Technica turntable to play her collection of vinyl. Alternatively, she can connect via Bluetooth from her phone for a wider choice of music. These Edifier beauties are perfect for the present and the future.

Edifier r1700bt
Good speaker for beginners to audiophile. Nice for computer and just for listening music. Clear sound. Although the the treble and bass don't do much . But after breaking it in it gets better

Absolutely fantastic speakers for the price
I initially had these speakers paired with my PC for Spotify listening and gaming mainly. They were plugged directly into the motherboard. I also used them with a laptop. They sounded good, but never blew me away. They were always good enough and loud enough but nothing special. Well, let me tell you how things changed dramatically when I paired these speakers with a 32-bit DAC and a Tidal subscription. They came to life. The amount of bass that comes out of them, without adjusting the knob at all, is crazy. It's full, rich, and warm. The full bodied sound and impact these speakers have now that they are paired with a high quality DAC and high bitrate songs can be breathtaking. Yes, I also paired them with an Edifier sub and just forget it. They're even more amazing. I can't stress enough how good these speakers sound for the money when you pair them with high quality audio files and a DAC. Yes, they are good with basic sound outputs, but they truly come to life when you pair them with higher quality hardware and music files. With a subwoofer, you will bring down the house. No joke. I can't imagine any other speaker set being as good as these for the money. I'm not a huge fan of the looks, as I would prefer all black, but the sound quality is worth it. If you're thinking about it, I say get them, but keep in mind that they truly won't come to life without at least a minimum Tidal subscription or other lossless audio streaming. If you can get a good DAC or already have one, then you're in for a treat.

Worth the money.
Bought these speakers to improve the sound for my TV and they do that very well. The only downside to these speakers is the lack of connection options. You will have to buy a separate adapter/DAC to connect it how you want. So keep in mind youll probably need to spend another $20-30 to connect them.

Really nice, and worth the extra $'s for the subwoofer out.
I had purchased a small pair of Edifier bluetooth computer speakers, that were just what I needed, but the permanently attached cables that limited them to being 5ft apart didn't work for me, so I returned them and upgraded to these at 2x the price. These speakers are overkill for what I need, but man do they sound good. I opted for these vs a cheaper set because they had a subwoofer out option. Glad I did. An old Cambridge Soundworks subwoofer I had works with these. These speakers sound great on their own, but the subwoofer pushes them over the top. The sound becomes more three dimensional and room filling. The bluetooth works great with all my devices so far, and the included remote is a nice touch. The included cable to connect the left speaker is long and will accommodate just about any placement you have in mind. The speakers came packed really well, kudos to Edifier on that. Definitely seems like a premium product. The only criticism I have is minor. I wish they had a separate knob for selecting between inputs. I don't like multi function buttons, where you have to push and hold for one thing, and quick pushes for others. The remote mitigates that annoyance. These are substantial speakers, so if your looking for something small, these might not be for you.If I have problems, I'll update this review, but so far so good. Excellent speakers for someone needing self-powered bluetooth capable speakers. The subwoofer out for only $10 more than the ones without it is worth it, imo. Much more versatile and room filling if you have a subwoofer laying around, or would like to add one later.
