Great gift for any How I Met Your Mother fan! Funny, well-written, and full of Barney’s legendary wisdom

This book is what it seems like. Namely, its the Gospel of Barney Stinson in paperback form. The Bro Code draws not only upon some aspects of the show but also creates new codes unseen in the show. This is for die-hard fans and will give you a couple of laughs, mainly due to the commentary and pictoral representations found at the bottoms of some of the pages. Warnings: -Sarcastic, male-centered humor -Womanizing orientation (as with the character) -Sexual references On the whole, this book is a quick joy. It's short and will take you no time at all to go through, however remember that it is intended solely to be humor. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because some of the Bro Code numbers are different on the show than they are in the book. On the whole, not a big flaw.

Oh boy, where do I even start with the "Bro Code" by Barney Stinson? This book is more than just a simple guide on how to be a bro - it's a manifesto for all the dudes out there who take their bro-ness seriously. First of all, let's talk about the cover. I mean, look at that handsome devil staring back at you with his perfectly-groomed hair and smug expression. It's like he knows he's the ultimate bro and he's not afraid to show it. But don't be fooled by his charm - inside this book lies a treasure trove of bro-ism that will have you fist-bumping and high-fiving like a pro in no time. Want to know how to properly shotgun a beer? Check. Need advice on how to handle a wingman situation? Check. Curious about the art of the fake phone call to get out of a bad date? Check, check, and check. But the real reason I'm giving this book five stars is because it's just so darn funny. From the ridiculous bro-slang to the over-the-top bro anecdotes, I found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion. Plus, the illustrations are pretty top-notch too. So if you're a bro, know a bro, or just want to get in touch with your inner bro, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of the "Bro Code" ASAP. You won't regret it. Bro's honor.

My son heard about this book and wanted me to purchase it for him. It came out of the show "how I met your mother" which I have never seen before until the kid asked for the book. I read the book myself and it's a funny one, just like the show!
