This is a nice alarm system and comes with two remotes. I had no problem with installing this unit; the manual is very easy to understand. My biggest problem was that Toyota\Lexus added some other wiring that was not listed, some things were not matching up. Toyota sent me the changes and locations of the additional harness. After that things went smoothly also used the Flash Logic FLCAN for the remote start. That FLCAN can save you some door lock wiring too. it uses the DATA mode in the Toyota \ Lexus SUV. I have early version of the 997 and that is also still working after 5 years. I Never once had a problem with AudioVox Prestige products. you can always order additional remotes form AudioVox even their older models and there not a expensive like the other guys, Toyota sent me the changes. and all was well .

Good alarm, lotta features, good range, but complex & tedious to install.I looked at instruction booklet, said no, will take it to a pro alarm installer. They estimated 1.5 hours, but even without wiring the ignition kill or remote start features, they took 4 hours.And they didn't get a few features working right (impact / window breakage icon always flashing on remote when disarmed, flashing LEDs in vehicle always flashing 24/7 whether unit armed or not).And they lost the instruction + installation manuals, so I have to try to find online to figure how to set time & date, reset the flashing impact icon, program code + use the valet parking button, figure out what the various side buttons are for (all they explained were the arm+disarm obvious ones on front).And if I need to have another installer fix the issues, or add other features like ignition kill, I will need the installation manual + schematics.So, when Amazon asks if you'd like to purchase installation service, say yes, rather than trying to find a competent shop on your own. The shop I went to don't want to deal with the issues, just shrug shoulders with sheepish smile, and technician was in over his depth, so doubt I'd trust him to fix it...even if I still had the manuals which he threw out after botching the job. At least main alarm features work, like 2-stage warn-away impact alert, door switches are wired in, and remote arns & disarms it. Am not really satisfied, but it'll do the job for now. Better than no protection.Lesson learned. Not sure who will want to go in and fix another installer's errors. Get the installation Amazon offers. They probably will know what they are doing, and likely stand behind any problems.

Definitely a quality remote start. However, the range is NOT 2500 feet. I can remotely start the car sitting in my driveway from inside my house with no issues. However, when the car is in a parking lot, it will not remotely start even as close as 20 feet. You would have thought it would be less susceptible to interference given the relatively long range advertised. To be fair, I was able to remotely start the car from a 400 feet distance but in an area with few cars and houses. I would recommend a smartphone operated remote start if you are looking for remote starting from inside a building. Audiovoxx has such option but you will have to get a monthly subscription service and an add on module, costs rise fast. Overall though, a quality product with substantial limitations in range which I am guessing would be applicable to other brands in environments with interference.Update (1/20/18)I have been using the remote start for a few months now and the issue of range has improved significantly after changing batteries. It's not clear whether it was due to low battery voltage or a reset that occurred by changing the batteries. I can now easily start the car while inside a building or over 1000 feet in an outdoor environment. Based on the significant improvement in range, I would now rate this remote starter 5 stars. Definitely a good buy at a very reasonable price. I installed the product myself (a task not recommended for your average DIY) and is no doubt an excellent value for all the features.

I can remote start my car from inside Six flags with my car being parked in the back the mile range is true. (MUST HAVE FULL BATTERY)

Very disappointed. I've had prestige alarms and cant recall being this dissatisfied:1. The siren is very weak;2. The remotes did not work initially and required technical attention for it to function properly;3. The remote with the monitor came with a battery installed in addition to a spare battery which is unusual and gave me the impression that the system was used. In addition, having the battery installed prior to connecting the alarm posed the risk of damaging the unit due to leakage from the unit.

I have nothing but good things to say about this alarm system… .I have 4 different vehicles and all my other vehicles have expensive alarms and none of them work as good as this alarm…The long-range is truly long-range.I can start or arm my car from a few blocks away with no problems… .None of my expensive alarms can do that… .Had it installed by a professional and they did a great job…

I'm not sure what happened, but it looks like the factory box was only sealed and taped once. When I opened it to check the contents I found the two-way remote having scratches on the plastic screen almost like it was used and a damaged blacked out part on the LCD screen. I returned it s I cannot comment on its function. Maybe it was packaged poorly as there was no clear protector on that screen but I figured it shouldn't have been handled that roughly to cause that many scratches and damaged the LCD portion

Great value however it should come with better installation Instructions this is not even for someone that has little knowledge on how to install these and it is beyond difficult to find good installation instructions.
