Preview - Strep Test - Rapid Strep Test Kit - Throat Testing - CLIA Waived - 25 Tests Per Kit

Just purchased strep test kit and received today July 14th. Test kit expires April 15, 2022.Just finished course of antibiotic treatment last week for strep throat diagnosed at CVS mini clinic.Swabbed my throat and tested negative. Tested the positive control provided in test kit and it testedthe predicted positive. Wish it had a full year shelf life time but I will settle for the 9 months shelf lifefor the 25 swabs and test strips. Directions were easy to read and test kit is user friendly.

Used the controls, all the tests came back as they should.Thought I had strep and I took a test. Came back negative. Took another test just to be sure, came back negative. Went 7 or 8 days thinking I didn’t have strep, started getting worse, went into the Dr and they tested for strep and sure enough I was positive for Strep A.Here’s the kicker… before I took any antibiotics, I went home and took another test, negative. Then I had my spouse swab my throat, because surely it must of been a bad swab. Negative. We tried 2 more times. Both Negative. Then we had a 3rd person try the swab. Still negative.Tests are not accurate. Do not buy.

I have 7 kiddos and a few of us are carriers, meaning we can have strep and not know it (no symptoms) but give to others (strep is a natural bacteria to have like yeast but becomes an issues when you get too much, so if you test without symptoms you might get a positive and if you are like some in my family you can be asymptotic but sharing it with other unknowingly). These test are so handy to have when we keep getting reoccurring strep throat in our home or friends and family start coming down with cases of strep throat when there’s been no known exposure to someone with symptoms. I can test our family and see if any of us actively have it and could be the contagion without having to haul everyone into the doctor’s office. Of course if there is a positive we have to have a talk with the doctor but only the ones that are positive and not the handful of others. Just thought I’d share my review for maybe some that have the same circumstances as us because this has been a HUGE money and time saver for my family.

Easy to use. Positive & negative controls showed up as they are supposed to. Sure better than running in for an office visit! Also, these don't expire for 3 years & 3 months from the time I received them!

Worked perfectly & saved us a lab fee. I showed it to my doctor via telehealth and got the meds needed for those in my family suffering strep throat! Definitely recommend!

The negative control resulted a faint line twice, positive control is very positive, and my and my children’s test resulted faint lines. The instructions clearly state that the darkness of the test line does not mean anything it’s the presence of the test line that means positive so I don’t believe these test are accurate being the negative control resulted positives. Also positive with no control added

Avoid these!! Took a bunch of tests and all said they were negative. It continued to get worse so both kids took to Doctor and tested positive! I don't trust this at all. Not reliable. I even used the positive solution and it shows that it's positive so I thought we were in the clear and hung around my elderly parents. I showed the Doctor the tests, and the doctor said it was identical to their test procedures but don't use that brand.

These are simple to use. Negative everytime, even with a known positive at the doctor's office. Wanted these to work. My son catches strep extremely easy. I wanted a way to know if it was strep or just a simple bug going around.
