Chalk applies evenly and stays on. I use it for DL’s, shrugs, GM’s, pull up’s, etc. Does it’s job. Generous portion for the money. Made it the USA. Great customer service. Doesn’t smell bad at all. Yes, one of my blocks (you get two) had a small corner chip. I don’t mind because it saves me the trouble of making a mini chunk myself. Is it the manufacturer’s fault. No. It’s chalk. If Amazon didn’t package it in a bag and throw it around like a kickball- the chalk wouldn’t break. I got more than enough for my money- sending it back for being chipped would be silly. I use it for working out - not for drawing on the sidewalk.

Service - Two of three blocks came slightly damaged, but there was a note in the box from Spider Chalk to let them know if the blocks had any damage and they would make it right. I emailed them, and got a quick response. They asked a couple questions about how the chalk was packaged, and they sent me three new replacement blocks perfectly packed, and completely damage free. That is outstanding service. Product - this chalk is great. It's very dense, so it doesn't break easily. I can tell I'll get more out of a block of Spider Chalk then a lot of the others out there because it doesn't keep breaking off small chunks that you can't use, and it doesn't dissolve into powder when applying it, which was the main thing I was looking for. I am completely satisfied with this product, and don't need to look for anything better.

With a nice coat of this chalk, all my bar slipping woes went away. The chalk has good staying power and goes on easily.

So to preface this I havent used a lot of chalk from diffent brands. This is the first brand of chalk that I've tried since starting strenth traning. However, I think it has done it's job well enough. It keeps my hands dry and keeps my grip strong. It even keeps my hook grip secure despite my diminutive digits. I've had this chalk for about 1.5 months and to me it seems the stickyness has been reduced. When I first got the chalk I could finish my set of deadlifts and still have a good amount of chalk left. Now it feels like ever set i have to reapply a bit of chalk. Granted I do live in Florida so maybe the humdity is messing with the chalk. It a subtle but noticable diffence. Despite that it's been a decent exprience. The only other annoyance i've had was that the chalk came broken. To be fair it is chalk, but I feel it could have been better packaged. It's not all bad though. The little peices are great for chalking my little babby man fingers and the block that was left is still holding up strong.

First of all, the chalk is indeed very good. It's denser and more solid than the featherweight crumble-blocks everyone else sells. However, Amazon did not package my shipment very well. They simply put the Spider Chalk box in a padded manila envelop and sent it on its way. When it arrived, the box was crunched on one end and the blocks inside were in pieces. I emailed Spider Chalk customer service with some photos, and they replied almost immediately with a cheerful and courteous plan to fix the situation. Two days later and I'm the owner of some brand new, INTACT fancy chalk blocks. Spider Chalk Customer Service deserves as much recognition and kudos as possible. This really has been one of the best customer experiences I've had. I'll definitely buy from them again. However, I'll probably order directly from their website rather than going through Amazon next time.

I've used A fair bit of different chalks from Rogue to climbers chalk, I don't really like powdered chalk, I like a nice block of chalk that doesn't break on you. If I had to rate this after its first use I would probably rate it 1 star, since out of the packaging pieces of it broke off immediately. However after all the initial pieces broke off (all small pieces nothing major) the remaining block is SOLID, coats the hands well, easy to apply on your back for squatting. Easy to clean off your barbell afterwards. Also lasts surprisingly long, I have a home gym that a few people use, and its been almost a month of use and i'm barely halfway done with 1 block. Not bad at all, I wasn't blown away by any means but for the price and for getting 3 blocks of chalk I have no complaints.
