StarTech.com 1U Server Rack Shelf - Vented Rack Mount Cantilever Tray for 19" Network Rack & Cabinet, 44lb/20kg, 10" Deep

Very sturdy, I actually have two of these, currently using it to hold two mini PCs and an Ethernet switch for a home lab, as part of a 2U rack that I have mounted on the wall, and then also holding miscellanous devices that are not rack-mountable, such as cable modem and NAS. It is not as deep as the rack unit which is nice so cables can fit behind it to go up or down in the rack.

Could have purchased something cheaper, but it would probably not meet my expectations from the reviews I read. This met my expectations and functions perfectly. Easy to install, all installation parts are included, and the quality control is good.

This thing is rigid and shipped without any imperfections. They also include the necessary hardware to mount it, making installation a breeze.

This vented 19” shelf was the perfect solution, allowing for great airflow. The fit and finish is high quality, with no blemishes or workmanship defects. I look forward to purchasing from StarTech in the future.

First off, Solid product. Great build quality, no sharp edges, but I couldn't use it for what I purchased it for. There is a lip at the front/bottom of the shelf, I believe this gives it rigidity. The problem is, this lip takes away some of the "1U" height. You can see this in the product pictures: The bottom screw hole for the ears are lower than the shelf itself. I intended to place two Dell Micro Computers (slightly smaller than 1U) on this shelf, but unfortunately that lip reduces the usable shelf height and they didn't have enough clearance to fit on the shelf, so I had to go with a different shelf and re-purpose this for another day. Looks great though!

This rack shelf worked well to mount our home audio system up out of the way. I've used StarTech several times in the past and their products are always sturdy and well built. This 1U shelf is no exception. A bit pricey but significantly less than the big-name brands like APC.

Nice for the money. Would recommend.

It's a shelf. It works but is overpriced in my opinion. Either you need a shelf or you don't.
