Nice guard
Nice guard, purchased for my snakes cage.Just the right size (not to long like some)..Keeps the snake from burning himself, works well..

A bit small
This was given as a 'recommended purchase' when I bought a UV lamp. The cage is too small length wise for the lamp. Let this teach you to measure your dimensions before haphazardly clicking on the recommended purchases. I have had a friend fix this problem for me and it does exactly what it is supposed to.

Perfect :)
Could not be happier, definitely keeps my snake safe, the protector itself does not heat up and remains a cool temperature.Only issue was fitting it, the protector does come with screws, it’s the tabs the screws actually go into I had problems with, they’re just too small, unless you have a mini electric drill or any drill, I don’t think you’ll have fun fitting this.Other than that, 10/10!!

Reptile Accessories
Great item, I have purchased these before and they provide a useful guard for lamps and heaters whilst making access easy for replacing worn out lamps etc, I would recommend this product to anyone setting up a viv for snakes as they are very easy to fit and provide great protection for any reptile within the vivarium area

Ok but fidderley
Gave it 3 stars because no screws came with it and was a nightmare to fit n screw it on but the corn snake dexter loves it.

Nice simple attachment to my viv
Nice simple attachment to my viv. Very neat smooth design i.e. no sharp metal ends for your little beasty to poke their faces into! I use this in my Boa's viv, he's has moved around and against the guard many times and not once has he opened it, yet. But at least it does what it is suppose to do. I have a ceramic bulb operating in mine. Was concerned about width of bulb against the guard, as it turned out I had plenty of room.

Perfect for keeping my naughty corn snake away from the heat bulb. Loki (a.k.a worm) loves to defy gravity and therefore manages to wrap his body around the cage, struggle to get down for 10 mintues before crashing back down with a slight embarased look on his face. If it wasn't for this cage, he surely would of been burnt!

Doesn't fit a standard Che bulb and lamp holder
This isn't so much a bad review of the heater guard as I use these on all my viv' s and they work fine. However ever AMAZON GROUPS THESE WITH A CHE AND BULB HOLDER so you buy them as a group. However you either need a low profile Che bulb OR the deeper heat guard that I thought would have come as these 3 items were bought together as one item with the AMAZON app. As the photos show this combination will NOT work so DO NOT BUY using Amazon "bought together" suggestion
