Is this product sensitive to high temperatures hitting the window? I live near Phoenix, so heat can creat issues.

I would say the only part that may be effected would be the suction cups. It does come with 2 extra but I don't know if additional are available after that. The suction cups are super strong and seem to be made of good quality but it's something you would need to keep an eye on for the safety of your cat no matter where you live. Hope this helps!

There was dry cat food in the box. Is it supposed to be there?

We did not receive any dry cat food in our box when it was delivered.
