If the LED turned green, it means the resetting operation has been successfully completed and the chip is in a good state. If the LED turns red, or does not flash, this is an indication that the chip you are trying to reset is either corrupted or damaged. If the LED turned red or did not flash it may be... a) The pins are not making good contact with the chip b) The battery in the resetter has come loose or is expired. c) The cartridge chip is corrupted or damaged.
