3.5" LCD Color Touch Panel Display Screen Module Display Module for & MEGA 2560 Board, 480x320 Pixels (LCD Screen with Touch Panel)

This plugged directly into my UNO R3 and my MEGA 2560 R3 but did not work on the MEGA as the pins are set up for UNO. As a relative arduino newbie, I struggled from a lack of needed instructions to make this work on a MEGA. I would like to thank David Prentice for the MSUFRIEND_kbv library which worked immediately (GLUE_480x320) and provided the instructions with other examples to adjust the software so that my needed touchscreen and showBMP features also now work. Altogether pleased.

The overall build quality is good but I had issues getting it to display colors properly. I do not know if I received a defective display or the problem is typical of this display. I spent a great deal of time before discovering the MCUFRIEND_kbv library. Most of the examples worked but the colors were wrong! tft.readID retuns 0x99 as the identifier but if I could change the sketch to replace the ID with 0x9486 the sketch worked fine.

I can’t really review the item because I never got to try it. It arrived with a cracked screen and broken pins. I was sent a replacement that was DOA it never powered on. And I was charged for both products.Spend a extra 10$ an get something that works.

The product itself is absolutely great. I highly recommend it.But recently 01/2022 thru 04/2022, some vendors are selling displays that do not have the "Touch Screen" feature. This is NOT a vendor problem, but one caused by the manufacturer. The boxes are marked "Touch Screen", but in some cases they are NOT so. In my picture, notice the small golden flat cable on the right.It should contain 7 traces (lines). If it contains less, it is NOT touch screen.
