Carpenter 6' X 9' Memory Foam with Built-in Dupont Stain Protection Rug Pad

This rug pad is the best I have ever seen/owned, and not expensive when compared to the premium ones sold by the crates and barns of the retail markets that are much thinner. My guests immediately commented on how plush our rug felt, so I had to let them in on my little secret. I have also owned high end memory foam mattresses and pillows, and was shocked when this one had zero odor. They typically all do for the first few weeks, so it was a pleasant surprise. I'm so impressed, I ordered another for my bedroom.

I am happy with this carpet pad. It definitely improved the feel of my area rug on my tile floor, making it softer and much more comfortable to step on. I love stepping or sitting on my rug with this pad. The pad height is 1/2" and is just right because I didn't want my rug to sit too high off the floor. The product is made with chunks of foam so if you step on the bare pad you will feel lumps; however, under the rug I can't feel those lumps at all. I'm giving four stars because calling it "memory foam" is misleading. It's not the kind of high-quality memory foam that you'd find, say, with a mattress pad. This item is made of foam chunks all compressed together.

This product is great. I ordered it because I have a rescue dog that is still learning to go outside. If she wets on the rug, it stays puddled so I can find it and it protects my wood floors. I got the 1/4 inch thick and it feels very nice under my thin kilim rug. I am about to order two more to go under some smaller rugs.

I bought this to go under a rather inexpensive rug. I don't understand how a pad improves the look of rug but it certainly does. It fit perfectly and has transformed my cheap rug into an expensive looking addition to my living room. I'm very glad I bought it.

First of all, this is not Memory Foam. It does not have any "memory". As far as I can tell this is regular stuff that goes under your carpet. It is not consistent throughout like memory foam. It is made up of a bunch of little chucks of foam. Some of them are rather HARD, so hard that you can feel the individual hard chunks when you stand on it with your bare feet. You do not get the cushion you get when you stand on memory foam bath mats or that sort of thing. This was a waste of money...

This is just a thick rug pad. I kept the item but I purchased it because I thought it was memory foam.

Definitely not memory foam. But still very good! It is water proof.Standard carpet pad really.

Awesome mat! Definitely ordering more for other rooms! I wanted to put a chic thin Chilewich mat in my kitchen and even though the mat has a nice foam back on it the deep grout lines of the handmade saltillo mexican tile floor was far too uneven to put it down without a pad. This pad not only has a water resistant side, non-slip foam that settles into the uneven grout lines of my floor but it feels like a giant expensive chef's anti-fatigue mat! LOVE IT!
