Case for ZUMspot & Pi4, Pi3B+ | Includes 2.4″ Enhanced Nextion Screen (ZRPi-1NSX)

The C4 Labs Zebra is, no doubt, a high quality product. The parts all fit well, and the included assembly manual is very detailed and clear (good work!) If you already have the other components (processor and modem), this case, which includes a 2.4" screen is all you need to build yourself a nice looking setup. The only comment I have is that you are on your own when configuring the screen. No instructions were provided for connecting or configuring it, but if you are reading this comment I'm sure you are more than up to the challenge! Overall I'm very pleased with the product.

Finally got it together however the little plastic piece that fits over the HDMI doesn't quite fit so I left it off. (Pi3B)The little washers must be put in exactly as per the drawing. Took a lot of patience and trial/error but finally got it.I'm happy!

Super simple/clear instructions to follow. My build went together flawlessly. To be fair this is my 5th build of different C4Labs cases and they pretty much all follow the same format. LOVE the look of the case with the RPi powered up and the HAT functioning correctly with all it's blinking lights and display working. Highly recommended case.

This case is very nicely designed, and well thought out. The display is bright and programming it is relatively easy with free software. Its resistive touch sensor responds well.I bought the case without a Pi, or hotspot board. I did this because I don't believe that the Pi 3B+ is necessary for the hotspot. A Pi 2B is quite sufficient for the job, and audio quality is far superior to the Pi Zero. At home, I have the units hard wired to my LAN switch, but a USB WiFi dongle is as easily configured.

Finally got the whole thing working, this case kit build was the easy part. Nextion screen programming and Debian Linux, a Very Steep learning curve.

I purchased this case for a MMDVM Hotspot project I was building. Everything fit perfectly, looks great and was delivered quickly.

A few months back I purchased a couple of C4 Labs cases for my MMDVM/Pi hotspots. What I didn't consider until I received the cases was just how closed up they are with respect to heat dissipation from the chips. The CPU temp on my Pi 3 B+ routinely was near 60 C in a room that's in the 70's F. While 60 C may be is within the chip operating parameters, It's unwise to push those parameter limits.I corresponded with someone at C4 Labs about this issue but nothing was done to redesign these cases to admit more air, or perhaps a small fan. Beware of this case design.

Very nice clear plastic box and goes together easily when following the enclosed pictured assembly breakout.Did find that the touch screen became unattached from the Nextion screen base after sitting in a vertical position, not a C4-labs issue but a Nextion screen issue. The Nextion screen fits very well into the C4-labs plastic case.
