Nice looking fixture, but corroded almost immediately!
You get what you pay for. We have had this fixture for just over a year and it is badly corroded in areas. The fixture this replaced had been in use since 1986 and still looked new (same brushed nickel finish, but a very different style). We are really sad about it because this fixture compliments all the accessories in our bathroom.Progressive Lighting was unhelpful. I was told the unit had a one year warranty. However, the customer service rep. said they would transfer me to the warranty department to see if there was some fix I could try. But, I was disconnected.

You might need to replace your electric box for this
I will start with what's bad and try to end it on a good note. This was a pain to install, the installation bracket forces you to install it vertically to get the correct alignment (lights facing upwards or downwards). Traditional US round electric boxes have two mounting holes and are usually set horizontally. Most light fixtures can be installed right away with that setup in mind. However, in this case I had to replace my electrical box to get the mounting holes vertically or slightly slanted. This required additional trip to home depot after frustrations with the installation bracket. Finally installed, I attach the light shades and notice scratches at the bottom. At this point I just finished the installation and put in new light bulbs and didn't want to deal with it anymore. On a more positive note, the lights are bright. Thanks to led bulbs not this fixture though.

Easy to install
After reading the bad reviews about hardware not meeting the standard electrical boxes, I took a chance and ordered the unit and planned ahead to have extra steel straps ready for the issue others have spoken of. However, I had no issue installing this unit at all. Either the negative reviews come from non-handy installers (I mean no disrespect as I commend the effort!) or the unit has since been corrected with the proper installation hardware. The crossbar brace used for 4" octagon boxes and standard single gang junction boxes fits perfectly. It's got the standard slotted groove for the screws to line up. The crossbar is also mated with a rotational mounting bar that can be rotated in case you're dealing with a single gang junction box in a vertical orientation. The only thing I did have to do was trim down the two threaded bolts about 3/8" shorter as the junction box in my house was placed at the surface of the sheetrock and caused the screws to protrude too far through the cover plate. That's not good since the nuts are decorative endcaps with only 1/4" of tightening depth. It was easy to adapt as I just hacksawed the screws shorter and it's good to go. That's not the fault of the unit. It's the fault of the previous genius who didn't install the junction box recessed properly. All in all, the installation was a breeze. The lighting is perfect! Cheap, bright, and classy. What else can I say? If you're not handy, don't attempt to install this, or any light for that matter. If you are handy, this thing is a breeze to install. A good value.

You'll have to trim the bolts
When you purchase a light fixture at this price point you usually get what you pay for. The construction is a bit chintzy, one bulb fixture is not perfectly square (not bad enough to return or for my wife to notice), the metal is thin, but this is all expected. The mounting bracket is decent. It does swivel so you can later level the sconce perfectly, but the bolts to affix the sconce to the mounting bracket are too long. It's possible they used bolts that are too long for people who may have recessed boxes (I have never seen this), but most boxes are flush with the drywall. You will have to cut the bolts.Installation:Screw the bolts into the bracket per the instructions and slap the locking nut on the other side and give it a good quarter turn twist. Don't wire it up yet! Slide the sconce onto the bracket as you would when mounting it. Ensure it's flush and all the wires are tucked back. Mark the bolt about 1/16" off the sconce. Cut the high side (leave the line, you can always trim again). I used a cutting wheel, but this part is up for you to figure out.Otherwise the fixtures look great. If you're not handy I wouldn't suggest this one.

Supplied Screws are too long, you will need to go to the hardware store
As others have pointed out that once this is installed it looks good for the price. I had a small 18 inch area, and so many fixtures are three or four lights wide. Two light fixtures similar to this are hard to find. Lowes does not have any and Home Depot had one.The problem is that the fixture's fine thread machine screws are 1-1/2" long and you will need a 5/8" screw to assemble this properly, or the finishing nut will not bring the fixture tightly against the wall. With the right size screws, the installation would have taken about 30 minutes, but unfortunately I had to go to the hardware store to get a hard-to-find and expensive [$6.00] pair. This unit was 50%-off when I purchased it, so I am giving it four stars.

Installation is a pain
Progress Lighting needs to figure out a better mounting solution. The provided hardware didn't work for my application (which is normal as far as I can tell). I ended up cutting my own threaded rod and inserting it directly into my wall box for the fixture to attach. Other than that quality is about what you'd expect at this price point. They look nice in my bathroom.

Beautiful
This light is gorgeous and gives off very even lighting. I bought this and a ceiling light to update a 60's era bathroom and they definitely brought the room into the 21st century. It is so light and bright - I can see to put my make-up on now. I use LED bulbs in both fixtures and the result is Wow!!Very easy to install took maybe 30 minutes to remove old fixture and install this one.

Looks gorgeous but yikes that installation
It's not a standard setup, it was extremely difficult to get up and you should read carefully as not all the supplies are provided. I was missing two screws to put it in place so I just used some randoms ones that don't fit perfectly but it's up. Looks amazing and is great quality, but yikes.
