Works exactly like an ink cartridge should work. These are the first set of cartridges I've bought since getting the Canon TR8620a (ugh on the printer, but that's another story). I replace two of the cartridges (M & C) about a month ago. After many printings, I noticed that both cartridges were still showing 100% full so I was starting to think it wasn't registering the status correctly. I opened up the printer to physically check it. I found it impossible to visually check the ink tank due to the label covering the entire tank. I ended up snipping a triangle out of the sticker so I could see the level of ink in the cartridge. Turns out, both tanks were still full and were correctly registering a full tank. I've printed a dozen or two photos and the colors are perfect. I'm happy with what I'm seeing so far.
