Sold as ceramic pads, really bimetallic. BEWARE!!!!!
I had a professional install these pads at his garage. No problem installing. The pads immediately started sounding like gravel was between the pads and disc. I thought they would quieten down after "breakin." Didn't happen. Took them back 3 months later after they still hadn't quietened down. My mechanic said they were some sort of bimetal pads, not ceramic!! He also said he found nothing wrong with the pads or discs. They were in great condition. But the noise of gravel and grinding is so disruptive, I am having him replace the pads. They were sold to me advertised as the higher quality ceramic pads, but are actually bimetal pads!!! Not happy at all. I would like some compensation for the misadvertisement. These are cheaper pads. I rated them 1 star for misadvertisement and 1 star for longetivity because I am replacing them after just 3 months because of the noise and grinding vibration.

Over rated, over coated with anti rust, and very noisy
I bought the front and rear rotors to replace my 2008 Odyssey but the parts arrived with some parts already opened inside the box, break grease leaks everywhere, clips did not fit properly and the rotors where over treated with anti rust which affects the break performance. Hearing some noise when I step on break, and louder when the drum is wet for example in the morning but recently noticed that even when the rotor is hot you still hear the loud noise when you step on break/stopping. I have been professionally advised to be cautious when driving because of the extensive coating on the rotor which may cause the vehicle to not stop properly.

Received defected rotors
Purchased the kit less than a year ago. Few months started to hear some from the brakes. Checked rotors and found inconsistency in the metal, what is definitely unsafe.UPD: Contacted Detroit Axle regarding warranty - they charged me $70 for delivery for new set of rotors.I hope the defect will not appear again.

Perfectly Fine - nice and smooth.
I am writing a quick review - this kit is a great price and worked as expected. I noticed one of the lower reviews and just thought I would add my two cents. One thing I have done when getting less expensive parts break part is to shave down the powdercoat on the ends of the shim (the two nubs that stick out on either side to keep the pad in place). Also, I take time to clean the parts and grease the hardware really well. Just my approach. I am hearing people say "sticking" "hearing grinding" . . . I drive beaters, but I am pretty good at keeping them running. If you take a little extra time you should get good performance out of the parts. I am not sure about the long term performance of these specific parts, which is the only reason I gave 4 stars, but based on experience really pleased with this product and I expect these to perform fine.

Don't buy this set for a Honda odyssey, it will put your family at high risk.
I had the set installed for over 3 months and the shaking between the speed of 55 to 65 mph started 4 weeks after it was installed, today for a family trip I was not able to exceed 53 mph bc my van felt like the wheel was going to fall off. I already made an appointment to have this replaced from the dealer. Your cheap parts put my family at risk.

Good brakes that won't break the bank
Bought and installed in July 2020, as of November 2020, the brakes are holding up great. Been exposed to rain and snow and everything in between. Very little brake dust. The only complaint I have is one of the pads were thicker than the rest, which caused some minor brake drag the first few trips but once the shoe broke in all the way everything works perfectly. I just bought another set of brakes for a Toyota sienna. I will give a review on that set in a few months. If something major goes wrong in the next year I will update other wise i would recommend this brake set.

Smooth when use with very little brake dust on the rims!
Not bad for the price, as these rotors and pads arrived just in time for me to install them on the wife's '07 Odyssey EX-L before a long road trip. The old rotors on her van were warped and vibrated a lot when braking going down hill and these were smooth as can be! That was three months ago and still smooth so far (knock on wood). A happy camper! :)
