Trod Men's Deep Pockets Short, 6" Inseam

Great pants, even better customer service. I love these shorts, and they're as well made, or better, than shorts I've paid twice as much for. The right length, right weight and very well constructed.But topping the quality of its products is the customer service this vendor provides. I screwed up the size order (I thought they had, but the default size on these is 32", which I'm no more likely to return to than celebrating my 20th birthday - both that waist size and the age when I possessed it are long gone), but the company very nicely sent me the proper size, at their expense. Then I screwed up again (!) and inadvertently returned the replacement pair instead of the original. I was mortified, and decided I'd just write the whole episode off as a sign I wasn't supposed to own these pants, but the company emailed me, noting that I seem to have screwed up, and would I like to try it again? Again they sent me, at their expense, a replacement, and included a pre-paid envelope for returning those damn 32's. This "sale" to an idiot like myself must have cost them far more than the twenty bucks I paid them for the shorts, but they were cheerful, nice, and even included a hand written note with the (final) replacement pair. I can't think of a safer company to do business with for a moron like myself.

I had to learn the hard way. After ordering 4 pair of shorts in my size, which is 34w , and paying $150 for those, I learned that they are not sized properly. So I have been reordering 36w and they fit perfect! I was feeling tight in the first ones I bought, I measured the waist line and they were 32w not 34w!! They don't make clothes like they use too!! Learned years ago working in retail clothing, if a company does not have enough of a size to fill an order, they will label the clothes on hand the size they need to fill it....

Based on some of the reviews saying they ran small, I ordered my size and one size larger (38 & 40). The 38 was the size of a 40, so I sent them both back and then ordered a 36, which was a perfect 36, oh well. I then got an email from the seller (Private Line Products LLC), saying that they checked the original 38 shorts and discovered that they were mislabeled. They sent me a new pair of 38's to try and they fit perfect, so I ordered a second pair in a different color. This is TOP-Notch customer service!.But lets talk about the shorts. They fit well, are comfortable, and the elastic is strong without being overly tight. They stay up fine for me with nothing in my pockets buy an ID and car keys. The front pockets are deep, so stuff stays put. The rear pockets are a little small, but my wallet does fit. I like the length, a little shorter would be better, but the length is decent. I grew up wearing shorts, so I hate all of these knee length pants they call shorts. Half way to the knee to me is perfect, and these come close for me.

A nice looking change from those cargo shorts !! I would love to purchase these with, maybe a little smaller front pocket and maybe a little front and back crease to dress them up a bit more, but they are a welcomed change to cargo shorts. No more cargo shorts for me. Now, if we could order them in white, pale/soft yellow, cape cod faded red, etc. You know, summer colors !! I'm sure they are working on new colors. Great company to do business with and that is certainly a big plus. Buy Them !!!....but save some for me....

I wear shorts much of the time during summer. I prefer them because they are cooler and lighter. I dont like long shorts because, to me, that defeats the purpose. My preference is for shorts that have an inseam of 6" or less.These shorts have a 6" inseam BUT the distance from the waist to the crotch is longer than other shorts, so these still hang too low.

These types of shorts are hard to find. My husband is not into the cargo shorts with all of the pockets. So Thank You so much TROD for making a simple, cotton, side elastic, men's short. I ordered the khaki that is a bit darker than the picture.

I like these shorts.Well made, fit great, the 6 inch inseam is almost perfect. (I have short legs)These have to be ironed before wearing, as the fabric wrinkles so much.The fabric is a bit on the light side, and wrinkle pretty bad after wearing for a few hours.Other than that, I am happy.

I used to fit in the earlier model but since I've gotten a bit older I can't seem to fit in the same size anymore. Not sure what the problem is . . . Still the same quality and hope they last as long.
