Pulled style chicken recipe changed - dog won’t eat it now
Pulled style chicken flavor is now minced instead of shredded/pulled. My dog hates it, doesn’t smell as good as the old recipe either. New recipe on the left, old recipe on the right, as shown. First they got rid of pulled pork, now they changed pulled chicken. Don’t mess with a good thing. Ugh

Cans consistently dented badly
I'm pretty sure there has been a change to the recipe. My dogs used to love all flavors of mighty dog they would barely eat any of this or the loaf style flavors. Like a few bites and I had to throw it out. NEWS FLASH, Mighty Dog, if Dogs won't eat your food because you're losing $ because people will buy another brand. I've had to throw out 3/4 full cans for the last 2 cases. I won't be ordering more unless u go back to original recipe. Ever heard if it ain't broke don't fix ;) this 24 can batch was so dry, it looked as if it sat uncovered for a day before it was canned and sealed.

Investigation prior to purchase proved this a completely safe food product
The most important consideration to buy this product, even before price, was the research I took the time to investigate to confirm that this product is 100% made in the USA. There are many dog food products selling on Amazon which are made in foreign countries selling for less than Purina. almost all foreign processors are in China. Choosing food products for pet dogs, or cats is a matter of personal dog owner choice. What other people decide to feed their pets is irrelevant for me. Safety first for my pets is #1 importance for me

My "picky" eaters love this food!
My dogs absolutely love this dog food. I have two Italian Greyhounds. One has epilepsy so I had been feeding both an expensive food that is all natural. They just quit eating it. I tried several other "natural" brands and they would have none of it. Mighty Dog is an older brand of food and so 6 months ago I brought a couple of cans home. They immediately cleaned their plates and have eaten it ever since. Bella has not had a seizure. Also the consistency is great, not too wet. Good for my older dog who has lost some teeth, but still needs to pick up food with his remaining teeth. Win, Win for me. They love it and it saves me $$

They changed the food.
My Gypsy used to like the old sliced chicken and gravy, but they changed it to a thicker meat with less gravy. To be honest, it doesn’t look like chicken. It used to be slivered with more gravy, but this is more chunky with little gray. I gave a case to my neighbor, and her dogs won’t eat it either. Still have 3/4 of a case left, which I’ll save and mix with rice and gravy. Perhaps with chicken fried rice when I order Chinese food. Kinda sad because the can is 5.5 ounces and Cesars or Bella come in 3.5 ounces. Up to you, but I won’t buy it again.

... A DOG FOOD MY DOG CAN TOLERATE AND IS GOOD FOR HER WITH DIABETES
I HAVE BEEN ORDERING THIS BECAUSE IT IS A DOG FOOD MY DOG CAN TOLERATE AND IS GOOD FOR HER WITH DIABETES. I JUST BOUGHT 4 CASES AND ALL ARE DIFFERENT NOW AND LIKE A PASTE. IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS FOR THE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN. I AM SO UPSET. MY DOG GOT SICK FROM THE CHANGE. BEFORE ANYONE ORDERS THIS, IF YOU ARE TRYING TO GET THE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN WITH THE CHUNKS IN IT, MAKE SURE YOU THINK TWICE. I HAVE WRITTEN TO PURINA TWICE AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN AN ANSWER! SO UPSET OVER THIS!

Grade A Lamb and Rice Dog Food for Elderly Chihuahua
I buy this for my 12 y/o Chihuahua. She has to eat only wet food now because she has tooth problems and she can't eat dry food. She LOVES this food and will not eat other brands now. When you open up a can, you can see the pieces of rice in the food. My vet has told me before that mixing rice in with her dog food would keep her stomach from being upset. In any case, this is really easy on her. Most wet food gives her diarrhea but this food definitely seems to be mostly meat that is packed very close together with no gravy, almost like how meatloaf is but tighter.Another thing I noticed, which I can't prove but I definitely saw it with my own eyes, is that this food made her fur shinier, like maybe it has more nutrients or better nutrition than her old food brand, Cesar (stay away from Cesar, btw! Used to be a good brand but changed up the formula and it's very low quality even for dog food!)As she has gotten older, her fur no longer shines and is no longer smooth. Kind of has had a coarse feel to it. After a week of this dog food, I immediately noticed that her fur was getting closer to how it used to be when she was younger.Bottom line: great dog food, fair price, and Bridgette loves it: it fills her, satisfies her, and it seems to improveher skin and fur conditions. Grade A dog food for my elderly chihuahua.

dented cans
my dog likes this brand of dog food. I read reviews about one after another regarding oddly dented cans. But thought I would chance it because I really wasn't understanding how these cans are dented. I bought two cases one chicken and one chicken with egg. The box arrived just fine so was confident I didn't get damaged cans. I was wrong. What you have to understand is HOW these cans are dented. It has nothing to do with shipping. It has to do with storage. Someone in the warehouse is stacking these things so high the weight is collapsing them cans inside each other forcing the cans to 'open'. ....or better yet the seal to give way. the lids are dented by collapsing down compressing the lid down inside the can from the weight of other cans/boxes stacked inside/on top of it. The bottom of the card board cases shows the force the cans are pushed down tightly into the next row of cans causing the dents and lids to open from the pressure. I am writing directly to amazon as well. this is a serious health hazard for our dogs.
