Nice And Easy to install to an existing cam
I Had a Nextbase 522GW Front View Dashcam & Hardware Fitted by Halfords just before Xmas 2020. A 25 to 45 min job turned into a two hour installation... I have a 2014 Ford Focus (Hatchback) the installer could not get it to power up when the ignition were turned on... Even used a second Installer to double check all were fitted all ok. Both Said i would need to take it into ford to install correctly.. I knew what the issue were all the way along.. i simply played along with it as long as i possibly could.. Most of the electrics does not work correctly when either the Drivers or Passenger door is left open. As it were geting close two two hours and not happy with the advice given, i said i will try it with the engine running.. Bingo The 522W Powered up... So i complained about my time being wasted... I got Refunded the £35 Fitting Fee + a £15 Gift Voucher... The Money were spent on the Rear Camera and i am so pleased by the quality of the recordings... This were Fitted By myself in around ten - fifteen minutes max.. Bare in mind that i am one who do not like cables showing at all but the best i could do is in the pic as it needs a little amount to cover the the Hatchback Space required for the opening... I have been using this rear cam for two days now and is working as it should... Just have to watch the cable if i need to fill the boot, And to keep an eye on the front cam every so often to see it keeps a very good line up of the road behind me.

Rear dash cam add on camera for Nextbase
An addition to my 522W dash am. Took me 10 minutes to wire in on a Skoda Superb estate and it is a simple plug and play unit. Easy to install and setup, clear picture and provides good footage to the rear of the car. Very pleased with this simple and effective solution to provide more coverage when driving.

Easy to install and connect to a Nextbase Dashcam at the front of the car
Easy to install and connect to a Dashcam that's Nextbase branded at the front of the car. Good Picture, and gets its power from the front Dashcam. Stick it to the rear window, run the single wire along the top of the door rubber seals to the windscreen and plug into the front Dash cam Just make sure the front Dashcam is a Nextbase brand, and a model that excepts this rear Dashcam to plug Into it. Check on the Nextbase website. Amazon prices are less than the Nextbase website prices.

Better than I expected.
The final part for my Nextbase GW322 dashcam fit. Had the front already, and decided that for the odd idiotic driver on the road, it would be prudent to fit the rear screen camera. I was a bit daunted by the fitting of it, but when I started it was quite enjoyable. Having to fit to my Juke, I managed quite easily to route the cable through the rubber transfer tubing between the hatch and the car body. After that it was as easy as pie. With a simple push connection to the dashcam, it was done. It automatically records the video, and can be viewed easily by using your phone app. Takes a while to load, but after about 5 minutes, the front and back footage is easily located. Go to dashcam on your phone app; click the 3 dots and select, front, back or all. Done and dusted. Only one point to mention; when fitted, If the rear camera cable is twisted or in any kind of tension, it can swivel slightly on the magnetic mount. To avoid this, I attached a couple of self adhesive hooks, and then wound the cable around one, then the other. I was very happy with the fitting and the rear camera. I am a little bit more reassured that if the worst happens, I've got it covered.

Easy link with dashcam.
Good product. Please make sure the cable connector is firmly pushed into the socket. I left a 1mm gap and wouldn't connect. Extra push and bingo.

Fonctionne très bien. Le câble est assez long et la camera ne bouge pas tant que cela.

The camera I purchased and wanted was a corded camera that plugs into the side of the Nextbase 522 or 422gw dash-cam. With roughly 22 feet of cord, this camera will easily meet your requirements for installing on any foreign or domestic passenger vehicle. As one of the reviewers said "test the cord and camera first to confirm functionality prior to running the wire and camera in your vehicle." I used the little cord tool device that came with my Nextbase 522gw dash-cam to hide the wire in between the ceiling of my car and the pillars, and opted it to trail the wire down along with the cord that connects my OEM mirror on the front windshield. The camera itself has a base that has 3M foam tape that appears flimsy, but has held well now for over two months to the rear window of my car. I recommend the following: Do a dry run - try leaving the cord out and using the camera while driving prior to doing the final install (In case you don't like it) Plan the route of your cord, this helps with detours and having to take the wire down just to restart again. If you have a lot of excess wire left over, coil it in several paces rather than at the end or beginning - otherwise the wire bunches up, pops out, or pushes against what ever you place it behind, I had roughly 18 inches excess, so I coiled 6 inches at the end, middle and beginning, this way if I wanted to move or have to get around it later, I didn't have to deal with a big mess/re-running the whole cord. Do test runs and compare your video - make sure your camera is pointed to optimally catch the whole rear view, at first I had almost all pointing to the passenger side, then not enough on the passenger side. A few things I found out after setting it up: There's a picture in picture on the dash-cam screen when you plug this camera in, it pretty makes it impossible to look at the screen when driving (distracting). I found hiding the dash cam behind my rear view mirror helps and turning on the screen saver. Now you'll have up to four video files of the same time - depending on your settings there will be two videos one of the forward facing cam and one of the rear view, not the actual picture in picture as stated above. The camera captures video well even with window tenting, this changes at night depending on the ambient light/street lights, etc. It works well for what I want, I haven't had to use it as far as a car accident, but it brings me piece of mind. The manual states that the sd card should be formatted routinely (dash cam internal feature) I hope this helps
