This basket was exactly what I was looking for to use as a laundry basket in my studio apartment.The look is super cute, except for the fact that the basket is misshapen because it arrives squished into a box. The lid makes it perfect for concealing the clothes while being able to leave it out as decoration as well.Inserting the plastic ring around the top is super easy, but you do need to keep pushing it through so that it overlaps inside the flaps.There are instructions to iron the basket to remove the folds, but it is such a thick material that I didn't even attempt to iron.

Love this basket! Super durable and well made. However, it has instructions to reshape by using steam iron, which I didn’t know nor do I have a steam iron. It if you don’t mind being a bit patient with the shape then it’s a great product for the price!

I'm really pleased with this purchase - I researched so many cord baskets on this site that I nearly went blind. This one is sturdy (in my picture, it has yet to straighten out - I put it up to see the size first), and a great size as a small bathroom hamper (but not too small). It works as a great laundry basket, too, and the lid fits good (makes a place to set your clothes while in the bath, etc). When I received it, I had to push a thick plastic stabilizer through the top of the basket so that the lid stays on and it firms up the whole thing. It looks a little like it will collapse in the picture, but it won't, it feels very stable and is very charming. I don't 5 star anything but this is a solid 4 stars for me. I am satisfied.

The ONLY bad thing is that this basket doesn't stand up fully like in the picture. It comes flattened for shipping purposes, and you iron it to the position shown. I kinda gave up, so mine slants and is folded still at the bottom of the hamper. It fits a weeks worth of my laundry which is perfect for my dorm. It fits under my partially lofted dorm bed and I couldn't be happier! I could always iron it again, so no worries. It's super thick and will last me a while. I've had it for 3 and a half months.

We bought this to try, not knowing how it would be and are quite pleased. did take a little to get it to stand alone after arriving but since it does an excellent job na while when empty doesn't totally stand without give works well. We don't use the lid- probably worthless but didn't want a lid. Holds more than you would think and not too heavy to carry. Overall an excellent hamper and would buy again.

It just arrived and yes it's in a flat box. Yes it's misshapen but I like the quality of the work and I bought it to help organize my room. I needed dirty clothes storage.It's cute. But if you need a big hamper then don't purchase this.I filled it with stuff to shape it.

This round container came mashed down in a flat square shape with directions to iron it. I don't iron. I own one for the looks and just because every house should have one. But the container fit the space I wanted it for, so I hemmed and hawwed around, until I finally talked myself into keeping it. I could iron it. Well, I tried but nothing from a hot iron worked. So, I switched to a spray starch I had found in the way back of my closet. Drowning the fabric from the inside and then holding and pressing down on the fabric rounds finally sorta did the trick. This was a tall, round basket. Heavy and awkward by my definition. So pressing down with my arm up to my armpit inside it was no small feat. I would have gladly paid $10 more for it to be shipped round and tall! (Thus requiring little or no effort on my part!)

Don't believe the complaints about these standing up straight. I followed the directions, stuffed both (I bought 2) with thick towels and blankets. I left them in the hampers for a week, occasionally pushing down on a slight indention with a blanket. After removing all the stuffing, both hampers stood up straight and are absolutely beautiful! In my small apartment, I use them for unwashed laundry: one for whites and one for colored clothing.
