I just got this case and was surprised to find that if you are using a screen protector on the surface of your phone, which practically everyone does, the lip of the case actually DOES NOT provide any elevation/clearance to protect the surface of your phone! Whenever I place my phone face down, I am placing the surface of the screen protector into direct contact with whatever surface I happen to be laying my phone on, increasing the chances of scratching up my screen protector or even damaging/cracking the screen. To be fair, the photos included in the description of the item do contain a diagram which clearly states that the lip provides clearance of only 0.5mm from the screen surface, so there was no actual false advertising (which is why I did not rate 0 stars)--I just happened not to realize that the thickness of most glass screen protectors is also right around 0.3-0.5mm! I think this is something that most people would not consider (as I did not), and that any potential buyer should know and take into consideration. The use of screen protectors is so ubiquitous these days that, frankly, I consider this failure to incorporate their anticipated thickness into the construction of a phone case to be an inexcusable design flaw, warranting a low review rating. If you are planning on using this case on your phone and skipping a screen protector altogether, I suppose the lip would work just fine, but I highly doubt that there are very many people who would actually do such a thing. If, instead, you plan on using a glass screen protector (like almost everyone), find a case with a higher lip clearance than this one. I have included photos to show how the thickness of the screen protector effectively puts the surface of the phone at the same level as the lip of the case. My apologies for the poor quality photos, but I think they get the point across.

The product physically gets 5 stars because it is EXACTLY what I was looking for: 1) unbranded, 2) slim, 3) soft to touch but not slippery, 4) all black, 5) price, and 6) quality.I wish I could give it 4.5 stars however the reason I deducted a star is because although not very strong, it did have a distinct chemical smell to it. This could just be my reaction but after handling the phone for about an hour, my hands itched mildly. I decided to wash thoroughly with soap for about two minutes, and 1) the smell was gone plus 2) my hands are fine (although I did not notice dust, maybe this was the reason for the itch since I am allergic).I would buy this product again - and recommend to others - however I would wash before handling.

I love this case. It took me forever to find a plain black one, without logos, that covered both the top and bottom of my phone. I like that it's just thick enough for some protection from minor drops, but it's not too bulky so that it feels comfortable in my hands. It obviously won't protect from extreme drops, but that's expected from a $7 case. I absolutely love it!

This is my favorite case and I’ve been using it for about 6 months now. It’s the lowest price case I’ve ever had, but it has held up the best. I can’t count how many times I’ve dropped my phone on the concrete, but there was one time that I tripped on a rock, and my phone smacked down on the ground so hard that it became disabled and had to be fixed. But during that time my phone got disabled, it didn’t even have ONE TINY CRACK!!! My phone had so much pressure that it became disabled but this case worked so well that my phone didn’t even have a scratch. That’s how you know you’ve bought a good case.

Well, my iPhone 6 is getting old and the case I purchased when the phone was new finally started to disintegrate. I rarely drop my phone and it was 3 years old. NOW....this case is very economical and built very well. I needed to get this one to bridge until i purchase my new iPhone. This case feels nice in my hands. Sturdy and looks new albeit after 2 months of use. I am impressed since this was very inexpensive. I would recommend it. I was presently surprised how nice it feels.

This case fits perfectly and has protected my phone well for the 3 drops it's sustained since I installed it a week ago.. The thing is, I've had the phone for 5 years and only dropped it twice before last week.. :( .. I chose this case because it appeared to be the closest to the discontinued Spigen SGP11592 (of which I've gone through 3 in the last 5 years) but alas, it's made of a different material, and is significantly more slippery.. I have nothing bad to say about the company, the seller, or even the product.. It's just a material/texture that isn't working well for me..

I needed a basic black iPhone 6S case and this is it. I wish it were shiny and not matte because the matte feels a little strange in your hand, unless you're used to a matte case, but the upside is that it's very tactile so not slippery. Also, if your hand is a little bit oily or greasy, as our hands tend to be, then it'll show up on the case. I don't like that, but I like the price and how sturdy these are. And they shipped very quickly. Aside from the matte finish, I love this.

I cannot count how many times I drop my phone every day. I have dropped it so many times to the point where I don't even get those mini heart attacks anymore. But it might also be because of the case. The case is very durable and you can see that it offers a lot of protection all around the phone. I haven't had a single crack on my phone since I've gotten the case. My only problem with this was the cutout for the headphone and charger plug-ins. But it's not so much of an inconvenience after you find the trick for getting your plugs in.
