The product was ready to use right out of the box. It comes with a battery and has good instructions on how to layer tracks, add a rhythm track, save good loops, etc. Very intuitive and easy to use. I had a lot of fun playing around with it and messing with the numerous preloaded drum tracks. I think the item is a great value and gives you the ability to record loops much cheaper than the other products available. I would recommend this to casual musicians and those looking to be creative with their music without breaking the bank.

Terrible product. I was very excited to try this product out but was extremely disappointed when I did. It came damaged, the quality was terrible, and the construction was out of very poor quality materials. Very unfortunate.

The rhythm feature in particular is very helpful. It allows one to record and then set the drum tempo. The multiple track feature and rhythm allows you to play and record all the parts sounds like you have a band behind you.
