Work as intended

Does the CANBUS thing. Used two to create a CAN network between two microcontrollers.

Works well with a RPi Pico as a CAN bridge for Klipper

I'm using this for a test setup with Klipper to toolhead CAN boards. With Klipper configured for a Raspberry Pi Pico in CAN bridge mode this works well. Here is the wiring, note that Tx/Rx are reversed from Uart1 using the default Klipper configuration:Connections to Waveshare CAN-Board:Can-Board Pico1 TX GPIO5 -- CAN TX (configured with Klipper menuconfig)2 RX GPIO4 -- CAN RX (configured with Klipper menuconfig)3 ground ground4 3.3V 3v3 outputYou use can use any RP2040 based board, I'm using a Waveshare RP2040-Zero.

Real!! Works! Worth the extra $$

this is the real deal, I have bought other transceivers that say they have the same chip but they don't transmit, they only receive. This one works perfectly transmit and receive. This one is more money but it is worth it.UPDATE: This is a bit overpriced, you can get real MCP 2551 transceivers for less money.

Great device if you are just communicating with a single other device

It works really well, but as others have stated, it has a 120 Ohm termination resistor on the board between CANH and CANL which you can't disable unless you physically remove it from the board. I would have much preferred if they used the two pins on the board as a jumper to allow you to enable/disable this resistor, but unfortunately, that is not the case. If you want to use more than one of these devices on the same bus, you would have to physically remove this resistor from the board. So yeah, definitely use this board if you are just going from one device to another, but if you need several devices, you can use this on one end, and just buy different ones for the other devices which don't have an 'always-on' resistor.

Works great

tiny little guy but works great with a Teensy, I don't think you need an additional resistor to terminate it, I think this one is internally already terminated but I may be wrong

Get this one!

After being frustrated by some of the slightly cheaper transceivers I’ve gotten here, which usually don’t work or I’ve had to modify, these guys work straight out of the box. I have no complaints.

Worked!

The Waveshare SN65HVD230 CAN Board worked flawlessly with a Teensy 3.2 interfacing to a NMEA2000 network
