I bought these hoping they could double as games and decor for our living room shelf. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived, as they check both boxes quite nicely.These are really nice quality. They come in three separate cardboard sleeves that match the color of the “books”. So you can keep them upright in the sleeves and protect the books / make sure the covers stay shut (keeping the pieces inside and such). They look quite nice even in the sleeves, since they designed the sleeves to match.If you wanted, you could probably throw out the sleeves and just put the book part out. It looks a little better that way IMO. The books seem to stay shut themselves, though who knows if that will remain true over time as they get used. I’ll probably keep the sleeves in storage and throw them away once I have a feel for how well the book parts stay closed over time.Well, writing that was a weird experience. I have no idea if any of what I wrote makes sense. In conclusion, if you see a brown cat around town called “Tumbles,” let me know. That punk owes me $20!

These vintage book games are amazing.They are larger than I expected. I can't wait to add more to my collection.

I bought about five of these for my husband for Christmas. I love the idea of vintage books to hold the games. We display these now instead of sticking them in a cabinet and forgetting. Since purchasing them, we have played more than ever before.I love these and will collect each one.

The bookshelf form factor was my biggest deciding factor in getting these, but the classic presentation is a nice touch.They fit perfectly on the shelf as opposed to the messy shelf of other board games we keep out of sight. Some of it seems delicate and easy to tear, so I'd be careful with these if you want them to last long. The pieces themselves are where your money is going, especially for Clue and Monopoly. The metal figures are a delight compared to the cheap looking and cheap feeling ones that come with many modern sets.So far, there are much more available in these Linen style, but I wish they would make more of these, like the missing games once available in the wooden bookshelf series from over a decade ago (Jenga, Parcheesi, and Risk). I would love to fill my shelves with more games meant for adults.

i haven’t played on them yet but i have played those all my life and now i have my own set. it looks great and will fit on my book self… i will just need to buy a bigger self first.

This is a beautiful set! It has good quality pieces and is packaged nicely! The colors are nice and looks great on my bookshelf. These would make great gifts. Totally worth it! I love them!
