These are good headlamps while they last.
The multi mode makes these a good head lamp, very versatile. Plenty bright for night time outdoors, and low enough to read with at night with out disturbing anyone else.On the down side - the light ratchet wears out way too fast so it doesn't hold position where you want it. (Seems to be a problem with all of the head lamps) . If I could find this style with a durable material, I would buy it. So as things stand, I will just consider these as disposable.

Fantastic
Don't often review purchases but this one deserves it. This light is just fantastic. It is very bright and has several useful options. It fits well especially if one is wearing a cap. The reason for this is that the only flaw in the design is the clear plastic lens that refracts light into your eyes causing your pupils to slam shut and minimizing your ability to see. With a baseball cap this annoyance is eliminated and the the various options of light intensity are more than I ever expected. Battery life is adequate. Very pleased overall.

Behind the light needs more padding
The light has 2 big central lights, one at the top and the other at the bottom. There are 4 medium sized lights at the top, two on either size of the top big central light, and two small lights at the bottom, one on either side of the bottom central light. The bottom small lights are controlled by the switch on the left side - first press is bright, second press is dimmer, third press is red, fourth press is blinking red lights and fifth press is off. The right button first press turns on the two big center lights on bright, second press turns off the central big lights and turns on the four medium lights, the third press turns on the two central lights and the four medium lights, the fourth press makes them blink and the fifth press turns off the lights. You can combine the small lights with the bigger lights by using the two buttons on top of the light. The battery also has a red light which you turn on by pressing the power switch, a second press makes it blink and the third press turns it off.I was skeptical about 18000 lumens and still am a bit since I know what 1000 lumen solar lights look like. With this light on with the two big central lights on bright I can clearly see 75 ft away. At about 80 feet away from an 80 foot building the light illuminates a broad area on the building but not as a spot light. I don't know how bright it really is though but it is bright. I plugged in the micro USB cord into my charger but apparently didn't plug it in properly because I didn't see any light. When I plugged it in after testing it out for about half an hour I got a red light beside where the micro USB was plugged in.The band is stretchy, a good thing too because it doesn't look like it can be slackened by much. In terms of comfort, it is very uncomfortable for long periods of time. I got an indent in my forehead from it. I used it at two different times for about 35 minutes total on bright and the lights went out, I guess it means that the battery ran low.

Great headlamp
This is a great headlamp for the money. It is very bright and recharges in about two hours. I use it daily for my pre-dawn walk.

Super impressive! Brighter than I thought feasible!
I was skeptical at the claim of 18000 lumens. And while i have no way to actually test the brightness, it's pretty darn bright! Brightest flashlight I've ever had! And it's rechargeable!Battery pack is pretty clunky on the back of your head, but that's to be expected for something this bright. Battery life is good. I use mine while walking my two dogs in the mountains of North Carolina. We go for early (4am early) walks before work and I'll go a week or two before I detect it's starting to dim a little and needs to recharge. If you walk with other people, be aware this may blind them a little (apologies to my wife). Even if you don't look at them directly. Just in their general direction is enough to make them grunt and ask you to "just not...".I'm also really pleasantly surprised that it doesn't heat up very much with use. I wear it for 30-40 minutes at a time and it's a little warm when we get home, but it's not hot. The battery pack has never been hot.Overall, great headlamp! Very bright and well worth the money!
