Minor performance improvement, nice intake sound, cleans up engine bay quite a bit
I installed this on a bone stock 06 Yukon Denali 6.0. I wasn't expecting too much of a difference in performance, just wanted a free flowing intake. Truck does feel smoother from around 2000rpm and up. Intake noise at idle is the same, but when under load at 2000rpm and up, you can definitely hear the intake. The intake sound is a deep tone that is enough to get your attention, but never annoying. I imagine this intake would benefit from a free flowing exhaust, but for the time being, I'm not going to bother since my motor is stock and prefer a quiet cabin on road trips.

Fits and Works like a factory part
All of the parts needed to install were included. Quality parts, no junk here. The part is equivalent in quality to a factory GM part. Well made and easy installation. It seems like it does help performance. I bought it because the stock piece looks very restrictive. Quiet but restrictive. The truck seems to have a bit more power, but that may either be wishful thinking or the sound made during acceleration makes it seem faster. It did help gas mileage slightly. An average of 0.2 MPG over three months. Not a lot, but a good result for $125.

Good clean fit.
Looks much cleaner then the factory intake tube. There is definitly a noticeable increase in the intake noise due to no longer having the silencer, which some may not like. As others have stated, the rubber coupling which attaches to the MAF could be longer I had to pull the airbox towards the tube in order to get it clamped together.

06 silverado
Very good quality built intake tube. All connections are very tight so no worry about air leaks. Makes engine bay look alot nicer and has a little intake sound when getting on the trottle hard. Having a tuner I can watch intake temps stock setup was always 3 to 5 above ambient temp and I'm at 1 to 2 degrees now.

Great upgrade from stock!
The 5.3L engine in my 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 runs smoother and quieter- wasn't expecting that. I installed it with the stock "off road" air cleaner box with a K&N flat filter. The truck has a cat back exhaust installed and used to be pretty loud at all rpms, it growled below 2,000 rpm and droned at highway speeds. Now the growl is there albeit smoother and the drone is basically vanished, so much nicer on the freeway. The engine idles and runs smoother, installation was very easy, fit & finish excellent.

Cheap non fitting rubber couplers.
The rubber couplings that came with the intake tube where not the ones in the instructions, resulting in not being able to install the throttle body portion without trying to rig up another boot not made for the intake. Once this was done the fan blades hit the bottom of the tube. I am not satisfied at all due to the price and not getting "AIRAID" brand correct couplings to make it work.

Not bad/not great
Ive had the Airaid 200-919 on my 2005 Silverado 5.3L for 5 months/8,400 miles. Just removed it. The quality is first rate....the tube itself, connections/clamps and instructions all great. Fitment is excellent. Installed with OEM filter box with Wix paper filter. Noise from air entering throttle body increased dramatically from 1/2 throttle up. MPG same in town driving (I am a Realtor in PHX) but fell 1.5 - 2 MPG on highway. When towing uphill the transmission doesn't shift down like it did without the Airaid tube due to more air/power and the MPG didn't change. The reason I took it off is simply the MPG drop when not towing on road trips. If you tow and/or like the power/noise I recommend this item. I like the noise/power but the MPG decrease on road trips not towing is why I'm removing it.

Good functional product
Good functional product. Installation was easy as can be. But keep in mind, it's a plastic tube. It won't magically make it seem like you've installed a supercharger. I put this on a '06 Silverado 4.8l 5speed. Also put in a K&N filter. Can't say I noticed a power boost but throttle response is improved. But the most noticeable difference is surprisingly the exhaust sound. The small block burbles and roars like an old big block now. If that's what you're looking for then that alone is worth the price of admission.
