I use these for all my boils. I love the boil in the bag concept - so much easier and doesn't get the spices all over your seafood. You cannot beat this price.

I recently used this crab boil seasoning for a family seafood night, and it really brought everything together. The mix of spices was bold and flavorful, giving our crab, shrimp, and corn a delicious kick without being too overpowering. It’s super easy to use—just toss it in while boiling, and it does all the work. One thing to note: if you prefer mild flavors, use less than recommended because it can get spicy. I purchased this spice mix for cooking shrimp. I followed a recipe for "Mighty Good Shrimp Salad" to bring to a boil four quarts of water and the Zatarain's bag. Then add the shrimp and 1 tablespoon salt and cook until the shrimp are curled and pink, about 2 minutes. Remove the shrimp with a slotted spoon to cool. The shrimp came out great! But I couldn't tell if the spice mix made any difference in the shrimp's flavor. Would simply boiling the shrimp in salted water have come out the same? That's why I gave the Zatarain's four stars instead of five.

This makes cooking dinner so easy and fun and healthy! It couldn't be easier! You simply pour a bunch of this into a pot of boiling water and then throw in whatever you're going to cook. Being vegan, I threw in mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, tofu, garlic, lemon, and onions. I also threw in some vegan hot dogs and sausages. The vegan hot dogs and sausages did not take the flavor so much but everything else did and it was wonderful. I would say the mushrooms, garlic, carrots, oh and brussel sprouts, took the flavor the best. But it is all good. My girlfriend was delighted with this dinner. She said it was healthy and tasted delicious. She said she wanted to have it again for dinner the next night. We think it's healthier because it doesn't contain a lot of oil which has the fat in the calories. I will say there's some salt in here but I don't think all of it's getting absorbed into the veggies. It's worth every penny and then some. Highly recommended!

Made a crab boil with Crawfish, shrimp, corn and potatoes. This seasoning worked wonders on the dinner. The jar is huge, price point is perfect, fast delivery, No problems with the container even though it was shipped in a paper bag type of unit for shipping. Will purchase again.

I absolutely love this crab boil mix! I’ve used it several times and a little goes a long way! Has amazing flavour and it really holds up! Giving it 4 stars just because it is so dang salty. But if you like it that when then great! I prefer the box packs then you can adjust the salt content yourself!
