I felt my diaphragm working
My first thought when using this for the first time was “I feel like my internal organs are exercising.” I’ve now realized that was just my diaphragm, a muscle I never seriously exercised before. It’s remarkably easy to clean and comes in a nice case.

Measured Athletic and Energy Results - Beyond Expectation
With just 3 weeks of consistent use (4-5 days per week) I have experienced significant and unexpected positive effects from this device.Benefits include immediate calm right after use, which facilitates my morning meditation with more initial relaxation. As the Taoist's say: "Amateur meditators meditate to relax, professional meditators relax to meditate" - the O2 Trainer enables the relaxation effect for me right away. Second, the energy that I am experiencing throughout my day is significantly increased with use as well; definitely an increased skip in my step. I understand this is a contribution to my already athletic lifestyle and that I've been a serious athlete and healthy eater my whole life. (I'm 58 years old).My main sport for the last 35 years has been inline speed skating and for about 9 months of the year I'm skating about 50-60 miles per week. One thing I noticed since starting to train with the O2 Trainer is that I can breath more comfortably through my nose for the majority of my skate. This is significant as I've been working on this technique for years without any significant improvement. Today I skated in 45 degree weather in upstate NY and was mostly breathing out of my nose the whole time and felt like my stamina has found something I've been missing. Looking forward to increased benefit with continued use. Thanks Bas!

It Works Because It's Practical
After reading about this product, I wasn't sure if it would actually do anything, or if it would merely produce nothing more than a placebo type effect. After about a month of use during routine exercise, I noticed a marked difference in how quickly my breathing recovered when I didn't have the O2 Trainer. And I have only made my way to the fifth resistance cap. This O2 trainer is great because it is a practical size to actually bring along with you in a bag, it does not cover your face like an alien face hugger, cleaning is quick and easy, switching out the resistance caps is straightforward, and it all stores in a simple case. It is easy to bring along and grab before a workout or take along to work. There is nothing to break on it as it's made out of a rubber-type material. This is huge because I can just throw it in a bag and not worry that the bag gets sat on or crushed by something. I don't have to worry about scratching a faceplate or cross-threading a screw-on attachment. It comes in two simple colors, so there is no need to buy an outrageous neoprene sleeve to "hide" your device or anything. Wearing it is intuitive and doesn't require special training or practice. Also, for those who look at other O2 trainers as I did and notice that this device fails to cover the nose, realize that you can breathe out of your mouth, or use the nose clip that is included. All in all, this was a great purchase, affordable, durable, and is actually showing results that I can feel.To speak to the issue of saliva build-up in the device: Yes, it does tend to build up as your workout length or intensity does, but I will admit that I have been using it exclusively outdoors and it has not been an issue for that reason. It's not any more than you would get breathing into any device. Condensation will accumulate, but I believe it is manageable.Bottom Line: If you are looking for O2 resistance in a device that is practical and easy to integrate into whatever you want to do, the Bas Rutten O2 Trainer answers the mail.

Uncomfortable but works
You will absolutely feel this thing working. I was using muscles in my abdomen I didn't even know I had. But at the end of the day this thing just doesn't feel that great in your mouth, and maybe it's just me, but mine would fill up with saliva during use and then start dripping out the breath holes during the exercises. If you are okay with that then feel confident buying and get ready to get your butt kicked!

Works when used as directed.
I liked and was surprised how easy it is to clean a little bit of dish soap in a bowl dip, shake, rinse. 45 seconds to clean or less. Also I am retraining my breath to be diaphragmatic as instructed cool process.

O2Training is an optimal training devise
Bas Rutten has put a lot of energy into making the training devise accessible by posting a lot of training material on YouTube. There is definitely a learning curve to using the O2Training. I am new to this training. I use it when I walk in the morning & I train with it at home. I believe in the devise already! And, I recommend it to everybody. I feel like The O2Trainer is changing the direction of my life at 56 years old; I believe it will have a great impact on the aging process. The devise will train you to breath right. That accesses the Vagus Nerve for total body impact. Martial Arts masters & Yogis train for many years in disciplined, arduous training to achieve those kind of results.
