I read many reviews before purchasing and was hoping it would live up to the hype (quick spoiler: They absolutely did!) I have had 2 other hanging shoe organizers in the last 2 years. Both ended up ripping at the top where the hanger attached to the fabric. I really like the concept of a hanging show organizer and it fits my closet so well. I decided that third time must be a charm. I ordered 2 of these and was impressed by the construction as soon as I removed it from the package. It is thick and sturdy material and the hanging hardware is top quality. The hanger is thick and strong and the fabric is double enforced. I can't imagine this will ever tear. The slots are big enough to fit both shoes side by side. This is amazing because the other 2 holder I had were so small I had to shove the shoes in nestled up to each other. This organizer is wide enough to allow the shoes to sit flat next to each other. This allows the shoes to breath better when stored. I did not order the optional cedar planks but the bottom of each slot is exceptionally sturdy even without them. If I lived in a more humid climate I might consider the planks to help absorb moisture. Each slot is big enough to store all kinds of shoes: running shoes, hiking boots, cleats, combat boots, high heels, etc. I got the natural color and it was exactly as pictured.

It’s beautiful, I love it!! I bought this shoe holder to replace the shoe holder I currently have. It’s much like this one except it was flimsier, and has fewer pocket holes. I love the feel and texture of this one! The canvas feels very sturdy and the color is beautiful too! I also have 3 extra cubbies for shoes that I didn’t expect! The base is fantastic because the boards are sewn into the fabric with seams (photo above^) which is a sign of high quality! The height and width are great too because I can fit my heels in here (Most of which are between 3-5 inches tall)! I just organized them like you would in a shoe box, laying down and they fit perfectly!! Definitely recommend this to anyone who is willing to pay a little extra $$ for something of high quality. Well worth it!

This shoe organizer by Household Essentials is extremely well made and sturdy. The hooks for attachment are equally well constructed. Based on the construction of the organizer, I suspect that it will last for a while. In terms of the compartments in the organizer, I have large feet and my entire shoe fits in the holder. Unfortunately, I can only get one shoe in each compartment (other reviewers have noted that they can fit a pair of shoes in each compartment). I suspect that I will be able to fit a pair of saddles in each slot, but this is not the case for my sneakers and crocs.

Bought this together with the cedar panels in 2018. It has held up well. Now, 2024, just bought a second one, with the panels, to increase ease of access to my sandals and running shoes. This is expensive -- the hanging unit plus the two sets of panels comes to over $100. But it is well made and robust, even with all ten of the pockets filled. After six years the first one has not sagged or torn. So glad to see that Amazon has continued to carry this product. Satisfying to see the order it has brought to my closet.

Great for holding hiking shoes and sneakers and even small boots. Lots of space and super easy to put together.

Nice. I'm a women's size 8 and I use this one for holding my heels or platforms, and a smaller one for flats. It's very sturdy and I'm glad I didn't skimp on it, I hate the flimsy fake felt ones - this one feels like real cotton canvas, nice and stable. Just wish it didn't slide back on the hangers a bit, it is hard to keep it really level/straight.

Does a great job organizing my shoes. I like the quality of the hangers and overall construction. I would buy again, but I don’t see this wearing out anytime soon. I did buy the cedar inserts but didn’t use them. They reduced the height so that my sneakers didn’t easily slide in. I prefer keeping shoes upright.

A+++++ Yay! I finally found a 100% pure cotton organizer, made in China. How refreshing. It arrived packaged well and smelled nicely, like natural materials do (no mustiness or off-gassing). The cotton is heavy duty and strong. I had originally ordered an organizer for my closet from another vendor that stated it was cotton, but was polyester when it arrived.
