Easy to Learn, Many Combinations of Play
Learning this game took a 5-7 explanation from someone who had already played. I later read the instructions before having to explain the game myself, and they were quite clear. The quality of the game pieces seems to be a good value as long as one doesn't let a drink spill on the cards. Still, there are so many word cards that one spill doesn't invalidate the game. Each game card has a word on each side, each game setup of 25 cards is always different, with cards that determine a team's objective words throwing another variable to make each game (round) unique. The game is rated for ages 10+, but that's only going to work if teams are evenly matched in terms of life experiences and imagination. There's nothing in the cards that are inappropriate for younger players, but it takes some creativity to give and understand clue words from a teammate. Each game (round of play) is about 15-20 minutes to play, and the trailing team never really feels out of it. If one enjoys the classic TV game show Password, this Codenames game really tests one's ability to remember previous clue words.

Fun game for a group
Really fun game especially when you have a group of people over. Pretty easy to learn but gets surprisingly competitive once everyone gets into it lol. Every round is different so it doesnโt get boring. Good game to have around for game nights or when friends come over. Definitely recommend it.

So much fun!!!
This game is easy to play and so much fun! Itโs family friendly, we played for hours while on vacation. It takes some strategy to play but itโs almost better with a mixed level of players.

A new family favorite
This has become a family favorite. We ended up getting it for my sisterโs family and my parents because they love it so much. Itโs easy yet still challenging. My parents are 79 and 80 yrs old, my kids are 7,10 and 12 and they all loved it. With my youngest we put out words we knew she would understand and be able to read. This game will definitely help keep your brain sharp while having fun.

Play away!!
The only downside to this game is that you need an even number of players. It is SOOO fun. I thought my twin sister and I would crush everyone, but it is harder than you think. I have only played three times now and it has given us hours of entertainment. You just want to keep playing!

Family Fun
Our family loves this game. It is easy to play and requires higher level thinking. We have a 12 year old boy and 14 year old girl. This is probably one of their favorite family games, too.
