I am absolutely stunned by the quality of this work and the staggering amount of research that has been done and is presented here. After Citadel there is a career guide of the individuals of where they went and ended up , were killed, died and post war. EXCELLENT indepth and highly informative book, . . and a must for anyone who's interested in Waffen-SS Tiger Tank crewmen who took part in the Kursk offensive.

I have not read this book from French L. MacLean,( an author whom I like reading) so am doing this review based on first impressions, mainly the production standards.the contents of the book look good and I have heard from others that the biographies are good and are perhaps the most interesting part of the book - the other sections will I am sure be equally good but have yet to read them.Looking at the book itself a hardback with good strong binding, after this I can only be disappointed.The paper quality is the worst I have ever seen it is abysmal rough "paper tin" and certainly the worst I have seen in a recent publication.The photo selection - 90% of them folks familiar with the SS / Kursk will know well - the reproduction of the photos is quite awful - I mean blurred fuzzy some very poorly defined and others very dark. To be honest the photos are disappointing and I can only but feel the author has been let down by the publisher.there are a good 50 odd pages of photos and the lack of quality and consideration given is a letdown,I expected better from this well-established firm.The book is good in terms of size and print quality very good but the paper & photo reproduction - very poor.

Very well researched and if your thing is this particular battle then it is a must have.

This is an excellent book and would definitely recommend to anybody that’s into their knowledge on Tigers.
