I splurged for myself in purchasing this set. I had previously used thinner children's play mats for blocking knitted items. I love this set. The mats are very thick (no poking through the mats with pins anymore), and the set is easy to assemble & store. While there are other products on the market, some less expensive, I decided to purchase this set because of the inch measurements printed directly on the mats for easy reference. (So long unruly measuring tape!) While the set is very nice and is accurately described by the company, their customer service is also outstanding. I'd recommend this set & the company to any knitter looking to upgrade their tools to make blocking a more enjoyable process.

I'm a novice knitter, and blocking my first finished project--an afghan--with individual pins, on a couple of bath towels over a carpet, was tedious. These thick foam mats and the combs make blocking painless and easy now.Currently working on using my leftover yarn to knit 8" x 8" squares, which I'm blocking as I complete them, so that the edges will line up when I eventually sew them all together for an afghan. This kit makes it super-easy!I am planning to buy additional blocks soon, since I have a fairly big Moebius shawl that's almost completed and I'll definitely want to block that. Great product, and I love that you can assemble as many blocks as you need for a particular project.

As I’m getting more serious about my fiber arts projects, I figured I’d finally start blocking my pieces. This is a great combo set, especially when first starting to block; however, it’s not ideal for larger projects like shawls or blankets.Since the blocks have closed edges once pieces together, there’s no way to buy additional blocks to increase the blocking area.

Was able to block a vvv long 10” wide scarf by reconfiguring and using one block under one section (not visible) and two blocks under the rest. The blue blocks fit together perfectly and by gently twisting came apart same way. All fit compactly and easily back into the plastic see-through case. They have a little custom attached plastic case for the pins—all together—excellent. Will need to order extra blocks for a knee-length sweater that requires blocking, though. Not enough blue tiles for that.

Got this to block a small knitted baby blanket and a needlepointed pillow cover for an 18 inch pillow and it worked perfectly. I can see that I will need multiple sets for larger projects however and that will be a cost and storage consideration.. Also, be careful when pinning your work to the mats, although the mats are thick, if you push too hard, the needles will come through the other side. So don't push them all of the way down.

I used it for blocking my knitted items. I said I would try it so my items would looks more professionally made. It is a good value because if you buy in a store you don’t get everything.

Used for the first time for my first blocking and worked like a champ. Thinking about purchasing another one for bigger projects

I couldnt be more pleased with this purchase. The mats are top quality and you get 5 more blocking combs than comprable products. The added bonus is it comes in a nice handled bag which holds the mats and the blocking combs. Did I say that you also get 100 T pins included!

They are a great addition to make my knitting and crocheting projects looking better. Also now when the pattern says that it will be a 9”square, I can lay it out and it will be exactly what it’s supposed to be. The fact that everything is altogether makes it easier for me when I need to block a project.
