Brilliant!
Bought this as I only have a small desk to work on at home and my shoulder had become painful working on my laptop and constantly looking down at my screen. The laptop stand given by my company had too large a footprint for my desk so I couldn’t fit the separate keyboard comfortably on the desk at the same time. This beautiful laptop stand has solved those problems and I’m now no longer in pain. The bottom part of the stand is compact and thin enough that my separate keyboard fits nicely over it without a problem and the height of the laptop can be adjusted easily. The stand comes with it’s own tool to adjust/tighten the riser arm if needed but I’ve never needed it as I was able to adjust it by hand and it has stayed put without any problems. The whole stand is nice and sturdy. I’ve been using it for 3 months now without any problems at all and because it frees up space on my desk and I no longer suffer shoulder pain I count this amongst one of my best buys.

Solid as a rock, set and forget.
Other reviews have complained about how tight the bolt settings are for this - I'd say that's an absolute plus point, you WANT those bolts tight as you can get them. It may make adjusting require a bit of muscle - but you can be sure it isn't going to budge once set. For most people, you set it once - and you are done. I've had this for a few weeks now - I set the height and angle I needed in 2 minutes. I haven't needed to do anything since. How many times it can be set before there's any wearing and slippage of the bolts - I don't know - but they seem well manufactured and of reasonable quality. It is ROCK solid, holding a very hefty 16" macBook M1 Pro - it also seamlessly blends in with the macBook design aesthetic. All the aluminium is well finished, no sharp edges. Absolutely no "bouncing about" on the desk as you type or whatever - unlike some of the other cheap junk out there. One minor complaint would be a small chance of getting slight scratches on the bottom of a macBook if you don't place it carefully on stand - it's a very minor point though. Is it portable? - I'll be honest here, I certainly wouldn't want to carry this and a laptop in a bag and then have to adjust it every single time. It does "fold" down to a small form factor, but I'd say this is absolutely something that should just remain in one place where you use your laptop frequently - very useful for a setup where you have an external monitor, which is my use case. Is it comfortable to type on a laptop that's on this stand? Heck no, but neither are any other stands comfortable. Yes, you can absolutely still type on your laptop - but you are going to get a very sore neck and shoulders if you do that for hours on end - casual pokes at the keyboard, fine. The idea is you have an external keyboard - that's the point of these devices. Bottom line, good purchase.

Great with MacBook, lives up to Apple's build quality
This product exceeded my expectations. It's got good weight to it so you can have a lot of confidence it won't get knocked over or anything. It's very adjustable so you can position it just right. And the build quality is excellent, almost as if Apple made it themselves – the aluminium finish almost perfectly matches the aluminium body of the MacBook Pro, and it looks great alongside my Apple Magic Keyboard and Trackpad. Rubber tabs grip the laptop well and protect it from getting scratched. Great addition to any Mac user's desk setup – highly recommend

High quality sturdy stand.
The AboveTEK laptop is exactly what I was looking for, a sturdy design that looks modern with no fussy design. It fits my laptop (a DELL 14”) no problem and would probably support most devices. The hinge mechanism is robust and provides a lot of resistance so no dangers of a heavy laptop ‘sinking’. When it’s first unboxed the hinge is tight so takes a lot of force to move in to position, but a small socket tool is provided to adjust the tension. My only comment would be that it’s heavy compared to some of the alternatives, if you plan to carry it around with you a lot it may not be the first choice, but for me who works from home it’s perfect.

Essential for the home office
Great high quality item ideal for raising a laptop... gave 4 stars because i wish the arm had an additional joint so that it could go even higher (to give a more flattering look on video calls). But apart from that...this is a must have for a home office, esp. During covid19 times when we are all working from home full time

Very sturdy, bit stiff but secure
Happy with the stand. It's very stiff in it's hinges and I've used a variety of laptops with it (heavy gaming laptops and portable notebooks). They all do really well and the stiff hinges are a good thing for me as I know that the position I've set for my ideal viewing angle will stay in place. Once the laptop is on the dock, you also have the space underneath (where it stands) to place anything there, so you don't lose much space on the desk.

Quality that is worth every penny yet priceless for the value it brings.
This laptop stand is a high quality product. It arrived with a wrench to enable adjustment of the tension. As you can see from the images, it matches the professional finish of a chrome MacBook Pro, and it raises the laptop to a very comfortable height to reduce neck and shoulder strain. It is extremely robust and sturdy, providing a much more enjoyable working environment than I previously had, propping the computer up on books. I fully recommend to anyone concerned about the problems of repetitive strain injury that is associated with poor DSE .

Very sturdy, and looks great. Supports my 15" Surface Book 2, even if put a bit of pressure on it to type on the laptop directly (I have it raised up at an angle about 8"-10" from the desktop). It's fairly easy to adjust, but not to the point of being comparable to a pneumatic system (it's just screws/bolts) - I wouldn't recommend it if you would need to adjust the height multiple times a day, but it could be possible depending on how well you dial in the tightness of the joints. There's no documentation in the packaging on how to adjust the tightness, but you need to remove the plastic covers on *both* sides and adjust all four screws (the tools to do so were included). Once you get it to your liking, you probably won't need to adjust it again. I use my laptop 90% in a raised position, but if I want to lower it for drawing or studio mode, I can do so fairly easily, although it's easiest if I remove the laptop from the stand. Initially, I was hoping for something that can make the ergonomics similar to a Surface Studio - and while it comes close, you would probably need some sort of magnetic or pneumatic system to make adjustments that easily. That being said, I still might pick up another one for my 15" Macbook pro, it's a great piece of hardware. Great value for the price.

Having a larger laptop that essentially doubles as my desktop, this has become an essential complement piece to it. It allows me to use it in a variety of ways, everything from just a slight lift for better ergonomics and more comfortable keyboard usage to a heavy angle so that it's pretty much a pseudo standing table (provided I'm using a table that's relatively high). My most used angle is the one that brings the screen to a comfortable face level and in turn I use a seperate keyboard - that with a larger laptop is just as comfortable as a desktop. I've used these before, and perhaps what I appreciate most about this design is the singular support beam - it may not seem like a big deal, but by it only being in the middle you can actually put stuff and whatnot surround the base. If you have one that has two arms, it takes away that surface area. Even though it has a wide range of angles and can hold larger laptops, it actually folds down quite slim - enough so that you can put it in any regular backpack. It's light enough to be actually portable but the heft is still there in that you feel the build quality and materials used on this is top notch. While the weight limitations may seem to be over the top, it really does feel like it can hold as such - the bar is sturdy and stable but not too difficult to adjust it continuously to where you want it. With two areas of angel adjustment you can pretty much have it in at any degree you need it to be. There are non slip/scratch pads on the backing to ensure that it doesn't damage the back of your laptop and a well place hollow area for proper ventilation.
