Algonot PureLut: Liposomal Luteolin - 60 gelcap | Patented Olive Oil Formula

I bought this for mast cell, histamine and inflammation issues and it has been helping a lot with those—I feel much better and it definitely seems to have stabilized my mast cells overall. If you have these issues, its definitely worth a shot. Dr. Theoharides (who is behind this supplement) has sourced really high quality ingredients and the formula is based on his extensive research. With that being said, I would love it if they were able to get a more pure formulation without all the extra ingredients in the soft gel. Ultimately these are benign ingredients BUT I have seen other softgels without them and since this product is directed towards people with allergies, mast cell issues and autoimmunity who often react to or have issues with things that are otherwise benign, it seems prudent to do away with them.

This worked so well to bring down my daughter’s inflammation.

Update: new formula causing GI irritation and is much less effective. Setting off some of my painful MCAS symptoms, while helping other symptoms —though not as helpful as original formula. Also now watery and tastes bitter and gross. I have to squirt out contents to take. It used to work. They changed the formula with no warning 2025. Website misleading. I’ve been in severe mcas flare and haven’t been able to try the new one yet. Sitting here crying bc i have no idea if it will help or cause a reaction and i usually take 3x day to function. It may still work but the advertised the olive pomace oil was important for absorption and then removed it and put regular olive oil.

My dr told me to take one twice a day for my itching, and I didn't realize they helped as much as they did until I stopped. Maybe it took time to start working?

I like this product until I realized it contains bovine gelatin which defeats the whole purpose of taking them. I was mislead by the use of olive oil to make it liposomal, thinking it was a great alternative to other products but it contains bovine gelatin which contains high amounts of glutamine. A vegan capsule would be much better.

This stuff is great. Helps to stabilize mast cells. Just wish I could get it a little faster and a little cheaper!

I heard about luteolin in early 2020 a few months before the pandemic. This works wonders, and everyone I have recommended it to is an instant believer. The downside is for it to work you do need 1 pill per 50 pounds every 3-4 hours. My uses are: if I feel like I am getting bad allergies I will take 3 pills at night and 3 in the morning and I will feel great. If I feel like I am getting a viral infection (which luteolin stops through furin inhibition), I will take the 3 pills 4 times a day and be cured by the next day. I do not take small doses continuously but use this more infrequently in higher doses.
