Great solution! True, no need to disassemble curtain rod!!
Was happy to find these to fix broken plastic traverse curtain slides as thought would have to replace entire rod but started searching and thanks to all the Amazon reviews, ordered them and they sure fixed my sad hanging pleated curtain situation in a few minutes. I found that if I articulated the slide up into the open slide groove and then rotated around and downwards towards bottom flat side, they easily were secured in place. Pressure did not work for me and I was afraid to put too much stress on the rod and my hand too so rotating was the trick to install on my rod. I inadvertently put one too many in and just left it as it was very solidly installed in the rod as it caused no operational or appearance problem and is in place if needed to adjust for any broken slide in the future.

Always a joy to find something that does exactly what it claims
My 1960s traverse road has no functioning button to open the ends, and many of the plastic snaps have fell apart. Another brand of snaps I bought, that were also supposed to easily go in without taking the thing apart, wouldn't go in no matter what I did - including trying to fit them in at the end of the rod. These went in and snapped easily and are also very sturdy. I don't see them breaking or become brittle, like the old ones did, in any foreseeable future.

Saved my old curtain rod, but very hard to snap into place
These were a lifesaver for me, so glad I found them. One warning, though: The reviews said you can snap them into an old, traditional curtain rod easily. I found that the hard plastic part that's supposed to snap into place is just too wide. If the plastic were softer or flexible, or smaller, maybe it could be snapped into place, but it's very very hard. So I had to use a wire cutter to snip away some of the plastic on the back of the piece, and then I was able to push it into that slot with all the other slider-tabs.

Wonderful product! Two tips...
What an excellent time-saver this one tiny design change (the flat edge) makes! So easy to install!1) To snap this slide into the traverse rod, turn the slide upside down (hole up), place the round edge of the circle down into the opening on the back of the rod, and gently press the slide so the flat edge snaps into the opening. Then let the slide turn and drop so the hole hangs down.2) To get the curtain hook into the hole of the slide, keep the curtain about half open to released tension, grip the outside bunch of curtain just BELOW the level of the hook (drapes are heavy and you don't want to lift another 2 or 3 hooks out of their slides!) and pull/angle it gently out and up to guide the hook into the hole. Done!

These are a lifesaver!
I was dreading having to pay someone to take down an old but still working traverse curtain rod so I could replace two broken slides. Then I found these, and I just can't explain how something so small can be so wonderful. They take only seconds to install, and work perfectly with the old ones. Thanks Graber, for a fabulous product that made this fix so easy. One note about thickness. These match (or come very close) the ones I needed to replace, and I assume they're a standard size for household use.

Super easy to install with minimal fuss
These traversing slides snap in easily if you pay attention to where the flat spot is. No need to remove old fittings or take down the rod. Don't know how long they last - the original ones were over 20 years old - but they were so slick to use I'd buy them again even if they only lasted a few years.

Look elsewhere
These slides do NOT have one flat edge. They were perfectly impossible to snap into my traverse rod. Had to return.
