Avid Elixir 3 Internal Lever Rebuild Kit
I purchased this item because my front Elixir 3 hydraulic brake lever was leaking. I checked out other websites for this kit, but they were more costly than what the company I bought it from and selling it for through Amazon.com. I received the part on time. Took the parts to my LBSM and he replaced the unit for me. He was kind of concerned since he deals with a lot of 'older' bike models and mentioned that he never replaced a unit such as mine. I gave him illustrations that I found on a specific website when I brought in my bike and he said it was very easy since I lent him the procedures and illustrations in how to replace the Internal lever kit for my hydraulic front brake. Now?, well of course, no more leakage-LOL! And my LBSM has additional experience added to his current bike mechanics; a win win!

Just what I needed
My bike had been in storage for several years and when I got it out to ride it the breaks needed bleeding. I needed new internals after ruining the stock ones, and these fit perfect for my Specialized Camber 29er (2014).

My first time overhauling a hydraulic brakes for mtb, and bleeding. Not too bad with a couple YT help. This fits great and got my brakes running again like new in a fraction of price from buying new.

Good quality cost effective brake lever repair kit
Nice kit, it repaired my leaking brake lever well. Unfortunately came with no instructions. Suggest you watch some YouTube videos and download the Avid Elixir service manual pdf. I am quite good with technical stuff but this is first time I have tinkered with hydraulic brakes and I managed OK. My top tip is to spend an extra few £ on a circlip removal tool eg "Silverline PL60 Straight Nose Internal Circlip Pliers" because it will make the hardest part of the procedure a bit easier.
