Exactly what I needed.
So far I found it good. Transferred tons of videos and photos from my phone as a back up while on a trip abroad. I hope it keeps working and I can keep my data safe and with me

Great value
Works well. I was surprised how small dimensions these SSDs have compared to classic portable HDDs.

Excellent performance
Very good backup hard drive. Easy to use and came with two cables. For the price I would have thought that Samsung could have included some for of case

Decent drive, I’ll get two more now
Picked up the 4tb model, the supplied cable was fine.I used a USBC4 cable and the speeds doubled.Write speeds around 1000MB/s and read around 650MB/S on an M3 MacBook Air.

Brilliant for using for Time Machine backups. 5 stars all the way
I use this for as an external SDD for timemachine on my Mac Mini.Ive been using another verion of this SSD as an externall TM drive on my other Mac for 3 years now and have never had an issue with it. (unlike a similar sandisk which dies when just 3 months old)Samsung will be my Go To for external SSDs. They may be more expensive than say sandisk but they are absolutely worth paying the extra.Just watch out for promotions on Amazon when you can make pretty decent savings on the price
