Worked fine and allowed me to look at several hundred slides over 20 years old.

A relative passed and I inherited literally over a 1,000 slides. I need something where I could magnify a little and see easier. I didn't want to spend a ton of bucks either. PROS: PRICE: Well, hard to beat the price, so I'll start there, but no matter the price, does it WORK? BATTERIES: for this low price, actually came WITH batteries! A plus. PERFORMANCE : FOR MY needs, YES, it works just fine. VERY simple, you put the batteries in, put a slide in the slot and can view with the light behind it and it magnifies about two times the size of the slide. QUALITY: Pretty impressed for how inexpensive it was. Seems sturdy enough and is simple to use. Even comes with a little cloth to wipe the glass screen. CONS: IF YOU NEED MAGNIFIED a lot (even with my reading glasses, it's not like the image is huge), THIS is NOT for you! Slides are SMALL and so magnifying about twice their size, not great at all for a lot of detail Putting in batteries, the metal was a little bent where you put batteries and took me a minute to get them in right, but had it good to go in about three minutes. BOTTOMLINE: IF you just need to see slides a LITTLE larger and with light behind them, REALLY inexpensive way to go through a lot of slides fast.

For the money it’s a good tool for viewing a limited number of slides. I was looking for the cheapest possible way to view my shots, and it did the job.

Was not worth what I paid for it.

I found a box of slides in my parents attic, somehow they did not ruin after 30+ years in there. I tried using apps to see the images, but couldn’t clearly make them out and couldn’t make them large enough to show my dad to talk about them so I went to Amazon and found a slide projector. Now, this is small which I’m pretty sure it’s listed in the details so it’s no problem. Not bulky, easy to pack up and take around with me. I was able to show my dad the slides he hadn’t seen in years and talk about the family members pictured in them. You just put the slide in the slot and hold down so there’s a connection to light up the picture. Now I wish I had more family slides to check out.

Works well. Nice and bright screen with good magnification.

I ordered this and needed it quickly to go through a ton of slides for an upcoming funeral in a couple of days. I ordered early in the morning and chose this one because it stated it would be same day delivery and arrive between 5pm-10pm today. It did not. Now, it says sorry for the delay and that it will be delivered 2 days from now. If it was something else that I didn’t need right away and wasn’t so important, I might not be so upset but, of course, customer service did absolutely nothing and as always stated the company limits them in what they can do to help. It makes one not want to purchase anything from them anymore because they prove time and that you cannot count on them to get your items to you when they say. Not acceptable. Of course, the don’t inform you that they aren’t actually going to deliver it when promised until 11 at night so you can’t exactly run out to a store trying to find the item you were counting on arriving and when you are grieving and planning the funeral of a loved one, you don’t have any time to spare with unnecessary errands. This is increasingly becoming a common occurrence and at this point, more of our packages do not arrive when they are supposed to than packages that do. We have been Prime members for a long time and shop with Amazon a whole lot. Now, I’m questioning if Prime membership is even worth it anymore. Also, the once amazing customer service has taken an extreme nosedive in quality. Amazon won’t be the first place I check for needed items anymore, if I continue to check at all. ***UPDATE*** Do NOT buy this product! Move on to the next similar item that meets your needs. I received the item, late as I’ve mentioned. Opened it, read the instructions, removed the compartment cover from the back, inserted the 2AA batteries provided ensure each face the right direction which is clearly marked + and - on the inside of the cover, placed the cover back on, and not only did it not work at all, the slide got stuck in there. Then, my hand started feeling hot. I took the back cover back off (which had been on all of 5 seconds) and, because it has no on/off switch, tried to take the batteries out of it and it actually burned my finger and thumb. I shouted and my husband runs in and takes it as it is smoking and I tell him, It’s melting and it burned me “ but before I can tell him don’t touch it just go throw it in the pool or something, he tries to take out the batteries and it burns him even worse than it did me. Now, we both have burn gel on our fingers, we have a million things to get done before the funeral, we now have not so attractive burns and we still can’t view the slides we needed to. It’s totally not worth it to take a chance on this one! So incensed!
