Choose Your Own Adventure 4-Book Boxed Set #2 (Mystery of the Maya, House of Danger, Race Forever, Escape)

Love choose your adventure books to read with my grandson. He reads them aloud to me as I quit and we go in magical adventures of the imagination together. I’m a retired reference librarian so sharing the joy of reading is important to me and these books allow us to share the adventures and make joint decisions on how our adventures progress. Most of the text is easy to read but they tend to sprinkle in vocabulary or geographic locations that challenge young readers.

Like: The writing was better than I remember from when I was a kid; 8 year old daughter loves them, and I love reading them with her, which TBH is not always my favorite activity. Disliked: one very minor complaint: the box it comes in is very flimsy but my daughter insists on storing them in the box, so it's a pain to get them in and out.

These are for my eleven year old daughter as part of her Christmas. She has the first boxed set and really like them, so I'm hoping she will like this set as well. If your child likes to read different plots within the same beginning story, then they might really like this series. Each book has three or four stories in it, based on how the reader wants to change the plot!

My daughter loves these and she is an extremely proficient reader at 6 years old. She does find some too scary but they are way better then the new ones that are all fluff with no risk. The kids like to pick a path and read one each night. We mark paths chosen so we can pick a different route the next time.

This set is for our 7 year old grandson, the first set we bought was for our son (his dad) many years ago (30+). I like these books because they make good readers out of kids who are not that keen on reading. Great stories and a wonderful concept of choosing how each reader gets to pick how the stories go!

Bought this for a 9 year old. She has read them over and over because it is a different story every time. I read them when I was younger it is a really fun was to read.

It’s really hard to get my 8-year-old to read, but he got excited about being able to choose what happens next and I see him reading these books all the time without being told to do so.

I originally bought Choose Your Own Adventure Books for my son who is now 39 and he loved them. So when I saw these books on amazon I decided to buy them for my grandson they are one of his favourite because he can choose his own endings

I loved these as a child growing up and now my children enjoy them as well!! Quick delivery just in time for the holidays!
