I loved the way the author does the short story form. I have read other books by her and was so pleased. Review: Odd but Intriguing - Extremely well written, as are all of her books. However, these stories had no closure, so it left me feeling empty. I don't get why she named this collection of stories "Pilgrims" either. That, to me, implies that the characters must have been forging new lives but that wasn't the case, either. Just be prepared for an odd reading experience, although the characters are memorable.

I liked some better than others
I'm not fond of short stories....I liked some better than others. She is a good writer and I bought after reading Eat, Pray, Love that I liked and really liked The Signature of Everything. In Signature she brought situations that we find rarely even tho they were situations we could relate in some way to.

The book is in good condition, It is an excellent collection of short stories. I have read and own, five or six of her books and they are all so good, I read them at least twice, right away.

O.K.
I really enjoyed Gilbert's books Eat, Pray, Love and Committed but this book is a little boring. I really just don't enjoy fiction. She is very talented and I wish she would write more non-fiction.

Superb
Strange. Quirky. Wonderful!! Gilbert is the BEST! These shorts are each intriguing, many leave you hanging, saying "But...!" "But..." And I loved that unresolved feeling (pretty soon, or at least, eventually 😀).

I read this after reading Gilbert's The Signature of All Things and I was disappointed. The book is engaging enough but does not hold a candle to Signature. I struggled to believe that both books were written by the same author. Pilgrim though is an an enjoyable and quick read.

Dieses Buch hat mich nicht umgehauen. Leichte Kost, aber dennoch nett geschrieben. Kann man lesen, muß man aber nicht unbedingt!
