Thought this cord would be of better quality than the original plastic cord. It lasted just under 2 years. This cord had a fabric coating but it has failed in less than 3 months. It was well cared for, shows no visible signs of wear or damage but started cutting in and out and finally completely failed. Don't buy.

At first I thought they didn't work, but I had to push them into the controller further than my previous cord. I like that they have two ways to mute and really like the volume control. I haven't had and issues with the cord, works like it should. Overall it is a good product in my opinion, great value for your money. Will buy again in future if the time comes where I need another cord. Would recommend to anyone needing the cord for astro head set.

When muting the mic line, it completely disconnects and reconnects the wire. This is great because it means the line is 100% muted since it's disconnected entirely. This is also a little bit bad because it creates a "pop" noise when muting and unmuting the mic. You don't hear it in the headset, but the recording/listening side will. I gave 4/5 starts for sound quality for this reason. If it was fancier, it could probably deal with the popping sound somehow while still keeping the feature of 100% muting. The volume knob works great and I can't hear any loss in audio quality due to this inline audio knob although I didn't do any sound comparison experimentation.Also keep in mind that if you have the cable plugged in the wrong way, where the TRRRS connector (4 ring) is on the side of your headphones and the TRRS connector (3 ring) is on the side of your computer/player, you will hear mono sound, not stereo. If you then switch the cable around, you'll then hear stereo audio. I'm not sure if this is due to the fact I'm using this with a headset and computer that don't support TRRRS, but this is what I had to do.I gave 4/5 starts for durability because the mute switch is a bit loose so the precision and quality doesn't feel as good as it could. The whole mute switch and volume knob assembly is also made out of an extremely lightweight plastic making it feel like it could break and isn't as durable.I'll update my review if I run into troubles, but so far everything works as expected!

This cord is GREAT!! Much better construction and durability than the original OEM cord that came with my A10 headset. The braided exterior gives it more durability and flexibility allowing it to withstand abuse and last much longer. Have only had to replace it once, and that was because of my own fault, not the cord. Definitely worth the few extra bucks over the cheaper, non-braided replacement cord on here. Highly recommend!I only wish they came in more colors. Would love to see some in red and green to match my headsets.

Worked great for a month then having cracking noise , might have a defective one was not expecting to need to replace in just over a month…

I’m using this with skullcandy headphones. I thought something was wrong with the cable since I couldn’t get microphone signal through it. I had the cable plugged in with the mute/vol control end into the headphones side. On an off chance I switched the cable around so that the mic/vol control end was on the computer side. Miraculously I had microphone signal on my computer. Everything else works too, mute switch and volume control. Luckily I just bought an audio switch board so the end of this cable is up on my desk and the mute/vol control is easily reachable. It would have sucked if that was going straight into the back of my desktop.

Bought to replace faulty G433 wired headset cable. Worked for 9 months with extensive care to prevent tangling or twisting. The mic started to go first, no one could hear me even when unmuted unless cable was turned a very specific way. Just bought a tabletop mic for now.If you need for a temp replacement until the real one gets here, its ok. If not, don't get it

I haven't twisted or bent the cord in any way. When I put my headphones down, the cord is absolutely not bent.And yet, within a month, they've started to switch to mono audio at certain angles. I've gone through 3 cables this year and this one is by far the worst of them all.
