Patriot Signature 1 GB PC-3200 DDR-400MHz Memory Module - PSD1G400

This memory stick is a great buy. It added the extra memory I needed and the price was within the amount I wanted to spend. Installation was a breeze. So everything about this product was just what I wanted. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a simple easy affordable memory upgrade. I recommend Patriot products as they have never let me down. Good solid working products. I have never been disappointed with this brand, it has always performed just as stated in their product discription and always shipped on or before the date given. All in all it's a great way to upgrade without spending a fortune.

This memory is reliable.Unfortunately I learned a lesson. Just because you are buying PC3200 DDR memory, that doesn't mean it is fully compatible with your motherboard. It seems there is double sided or dual channel memory versus single. As a result I can't get more than 2GB of memory to be recognized on my motherboard using these memory sticks. That isn't a flaw in this memory product. It is a flaw in the PC3200 "standard".

I installed this on my socket 478 board, running Windows XP pro and Ubuntu Linux 11.10, along side old 1 gig Ultra brand memory. It work as soon as it was installed with no problems at all. My computer is much faster now and is now maxed out for memory. I have been running it for a little over a month now and am very happy. I would recommend it to any body who is looking to add memory to their old computer.

I upgraded from 4 sticks of 512 RAM to 4 sticks of the Patriot RAM and it's made a noticeable improvement. There's not much to say about it besides that it works and it installed with no problems.

Ben Amazon custom many years didn't expect this. Memorycards were not what I ordered. Were suppose to be with heat shield but were not. Return date was past for full refund by the time I found package shipment. I installed anyway and did they ever slow my computer down. Memory cards are of no use to me. Will never buy memory cards from Amazon again.

The Memory RAM did not work... It came out burn and there is no return!!! stay away from this, NOT GOOD :(

Over the years, I've worked on hundreds of computers and updated memory numerous times. I'm partial to the Crucial brand myself, but have experienced no problems over time with bargain mods from Patriot and Kingston. I would not, however, buy a brand that is not well known because so much of your computer processing relies on good quality memory.Low prices and availability via Amazon make this purchase a no brainer, especially for older memory types that are hard to find and overpriced locally. If you've never tried to install a memory upgrade yourself, give it a shot. It's really not very difficult as long as you are careful and patient with the snapping in and out process.

I bought this ram to help speed up a desktop that had been repurposed into a server. Installing it was as simple as opening the cover, 'popping' the old RAM out and slotting this one in. As soon as I turned it back on the BIOS recognised the RAM and booted the OS.All in all this RAM has helped to breathe life into an otherwise ancient machine.
