I’m very satisfied with this product! The quality is excellent and the capsules are easy to swallow. I've been suffering from horrible eye problems for about several years now. It’s been absolutely crippling. I’ve had to leave work early several times, where I’m on a computer 10 hours a day, because I simply couldn’t keep my eyes open because they both hurt so badly and just stream tears to the point that I cannot see. My eyes are always red and glassy by the end of every day and I’m severely light sensitive. I couldn’t stand to look at screens after work which ruled out home computer time, TV, ipad and smartphone enjoyment. Instead, I’d spend most evenings with hot packs on my eyes, which didn’t help but felt good – and wasted most of my free time. I tried sleeping with castor oil in my eyes. Nothing. Over the counter eye drops do nothing, even Restatis didn’t even help. Another prescription drop called Xiidra helps somewhat but certainly not 100%. I’d gone to my GP, an optometrist and 2 ophthalmologists several times trying to determine the source of the problem, which nobody ever did. Nobody even suggested it could be caused from blue light. They just diagnosed “dry eye”. Then, one day, I noticed that my eyes hurt one hell of a lot worse when I looked at my cell phone screen than they did looking at a regular computer screen. So I checked online to see what’s different about a cell phone screen vs a computer monitor. Turns out that cell phone screens emit way more “blue light”, something I’d never even heard of. So I bought a $50 anti-blue light filter for my computer screen. As soon as I put it on I could tell immediately that it was going to help and it did! So I bought a pair of computer glasses with blue light blocker coating (don’t waste your money – no effect whatsoever). Then, several weeks later, I was watching Jeopardy (cuz I could look at TV after using the filter at work) and saw a commercial for “Lutein Blue”, which is a different brand than this Puritan’s Pride. So, I looked up Lutein and learned that this supplement helps block blue light in your eye. I also read that it can improve your vision, which I thought might be a placebo effect. But, turns out, it’s TRUE! I’ve only been taking this supplement for 2 weeks and it’s changed my life! Even after a full day of looking at the computer at work I can work on my computer at home, watch TV, even mess around on my cell phone all without searing pain!!! Yes, my eyes still hurt a little bit but less and less every single day and it’s bearable and manageable. Further, I CAN actually see better. Everything is sharper (my eyeglass prescription seems too strong now) AND, I know this sounds weird, but I notice colors are a lot brighter. $13.67 for a 4 month supply for this life changing supplement is the bargain of the century. I would pay this much PER DAY if I had to. That’s how much it’s changed my life. Highly recommend.

Good product

Having 20/15 vision, I wanted to find a way to preserve my vision and overall keep my eye health superb. Glaucoma and cataracts both run in my family so I wanted to take care of my eyes. Now, I've known about lutein for some time now and already knew it is a type of carotenoid. I knew there was also some evidence that lutein benefits the eye. So, I went ahead and decided to buy some. I chose Puritan's Pride specifically because I've had good results with them (I bought melatonin by them). Like all supplements I buy, I gave some time before I wrote this review to see any effects of any kind. And so far I can see good results. Firstly, I have dry eyes and it can be a pain sometimes. Ever since I started taking these, my dry eyes have become very mild. When I wake up in the morning my eyes aren't red anymore, nor do they feel dry. Wasn't expecting that result, but I like it anyway. Secondly, I've noticed clarity during the day and night. I work at night so I drive in the dark and I've noticed that what I never noticed on the road is now very noticeable and sharp in detail. It's like my peripheral field of view has become more sharp. Thirdly, I went to the eye doctor as I do every year and my doctor noted how excellent my corneas and eye blood vessels were in exceptionally good condition compared to last year. I'm guessing that these also have preservation properties in terms of eye health. The pills are easy to swallow, as they're soft gels, and are quite small. They have a sweet taste if you put it in your mouth without water. Nothing uncomfortable to report about taking these. No side effects or strange feelings. These are quality pills and I am pleased by the results they gave me. If you want to take care of your eyes and value your sight, I suggest taking these. The price wasn't bad and with four months worth of them (120 soft gels), it's worth its value. I recommend these.

Great deal on needed for eye health. Recommended by Eye doctor. Only issue won't ship from July until October. they are a gel cap & weather too hot. Dont know why they could'nt put in a cooler as other meds.

Started researching supplements for macular degeneration after my older brother was diagnosed in his mid 70s. This brand was recommended. There’s no way you can feel comforted that it’s working or that I’m guaranteed to not have Mac degen, but if I never am afflicted I will not regret taking it. That other reported benefits, including cognitive. If there’s cognitive benefit, it’s subtle. But I’ll take it subtle.

Fast delivery in an undamaged condition, I have been taking these tables for over 12 months, I have noticed an improvement in my being able to work for longer periods and at 79 I still don't require glasses to see or drive a car.

A healthy set of eyes with good vision are the wealth that I want to keep for good. I took them together with Astaxanthin and bilberry. It helps me see better and makes me more focus. Together with rosemary my minus vision has been reduced tremendously. Try it to see it for yourself.
