A hilarious cookbook that is a great addition to any kitchen.
The Angle: This is one of Chrissy Teigen’s cookbooks. Obviously, she is super famous, and she’s also a huge foodie. This is a collection of recipes she likes to make at home.Difficulty Level: This is definitely a cookbook that’s accessible to anyone. The more complicated recipes are even in their own section to keep them separate. And the majority of the ingredients are ones you’ll already have on hand or can easily pick up at the store.Recipe Overview: There’s a lot of variety here. There are a good number of Asian recipes, but also a good number of what I would describe as more American recipes. No matter which one you choose, though, there’s going to be a ton of flavor.Final Thoughts: It’s probably odd to say a cookbook is hilarious, but this one is. Chrissy Teigen has an amazing sense of humor, and it comes through in her recipe descriptions. It’s like sitting in her kitchen while she tells you stories about whatever she happens to be making.

Culinary genius, oh and by the way, what a BLAST!
I saw the Craving reviews and had, of course, heard of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, but I had no idea that A) she is an extremely good cook, and B) she is hilarious. Seriously hilarious. Her recipes are thought out and easy to understand because she is so articulate in explaining the details but the way she sets up each recipe with her wicked sense of humor takes this book over the top. She has clearly been up-close-and-personal with all the recipes in Cravings. Her ability to create such crave-worthy recipes and equally appreciate those recipes she received and shares in the book from the people in her life makes Cravings -- and her-- all that more special. And believe me, these are some incredible dishes and she is no lightweight in the kitchen. There is complexity to a good share of her recipes but her easy-going way of taking you through the steps gives you the confidence to explore. The photography is gorgeous and each recipe comes with one or more photo to give you a complete picture of what is in your future. The recipes are a global mix of yumminess that are meant to be comfort food in every sense of the word. All that said, the added bonus is how she brings you into her life. You get to know her and there is a lot to love there. But the fun factor puts Cravings through the stratosphere in my opinion. I cannot remember the last time I laughed out loud when reading a cookbook. Repeatedly. Like every page. She hooks you from the very first paragraph in her introduction and doesn't let you go. I have not made any of the recipes yet but am going to try her Stretchy Artichoke, Spinach and Buffalo Chicken Dip with Spiced Pita Chips and King Hawaiian BLPTS tomorrow to kick-off my in-home pre-season football tailgate for two. I just bought a copy for my best friend for her birthday and pre-ordered her next book coming out on September 18. I rarely do reviews but this was simply too good to not share. Hats off to an amazing book and even more amazing author and chef.

Funny and snarky but easy and delicious recipes!
I've never thought to or wanted to count a cookbook as a book read on GR but I am literally read every single page in this amazing cookbook. Well worth the actual read. Chrissy comes through on every page! I took my time and read through each recipe. Her little paragraphs at the beginning of each recipe are just classic Teigen. lol.My first recipes from the book were Perfect Seared Scallops with Warm Corn Salad and Sour Cream and Broccoli Potato Cakes. It all took a bit longer than I had anticipated and the broccoli needed more time to cook to become mashable so I ended up throwing it, along with the potatoes and sour cream (and other ingredients for the cakes) into my Nutribullet for a quick mix. Worked well. I did not have the frozen corn I thought I did (I ALWAYS have frozen corn...grr!) so it was a warm pea salad. lol. Luckily we both like peas. But all in all, very delicious! The scallops were the shining star. Then I made Rotochick Chicken Noodle Soup which was deliciously flavorful due to the rotisserie chicken. The only other flavorings were the thyme, salt, and pepper! I skipped the bay leaf. I made the Crab Cakes Benedict and Bacon Hash Browns (pictured) and was so pleased with how they turned out! My first time poaching eggs too! My favorite meal so far but the Chinese Chicken Salad is a very close second, we ended up putting it in a tortilla wrap and damn, such a good idea! The Buttery Glazed Beans were too sweet and buttery for us. I like my veggies to taste like veggies, not sugar. My next recipes will be the King's Hawaiian BLPTs and the Vegetarian Tortilla Stew. Really love this cookbook and once I've exhausted these recipes, I will be buying the second one! I can't recommend this book enough!

Great cookbook
The images were beautiful. Drooling to try. She's like me, she talks to you when she writes. Michael Strahan recommend it as his favorite on GMA; for her coconut rice. I really think it's nice and great to own and add to your collection. Enjoy

Incredibles recetas
Fácil de leer, todo se te antoja, lo único malo es que en Mérida no encuentras todos los ingredientes si encuentras suplementos pero si siento que modifica mucho las recetas. Pero amamos.

Comfort Food Bible
I'm obsessed with this cook book, I can't believe I debated buying it! The recipes are clear and concise with lots of pictures and hilarious anecdotes. I'd say this book is a 50/50 split of some-what healthy meals and outrageous comfort foods. Some of the ingredients can be hard to come by at my local grocery store (especially for the Thai recipes), but even with substitutions the food still turns out delicious. I'm buying a second copy now as a gift. Favourite recipes so far are:- Roasted Cauliflower Feta and Orzo Salad- Cheesy Jalapeno Bacon Cornbread- Chicken Lettuce Wraps- Spicy Honey Butter Chicken Wings- Perfect Seared Scallops- Sweet Chili Salmon- Skillet Charred Fish Tacos- Capon's Chrissy Burger (my go-to burger recipe, everyone I've ever made it for asks for the recipe which is SO quick and easy)

This book is wonderful, and I think that would be the case ...
This book is wonderful, and I think that would be the case even if you have no idea who Chrissy Teigen is. Every recipe is prefaced by a paragraph, and her sense of humour and love of food makes each recipe enjoyable to read through, as well as easy to follow. Some of the ingredients may be slightly more upmarket than your standard Sainsbury's Basics, but none of them are truly outlandish, and she occasionally suggests alternatives for ingredients, so you won't be caught out by your oh-so-perfect meal missing the key ingredient that will turn it from merely edible to "this plate had a pattern on it before you licked it clean" delicious. It has a wide range of dishes, so there's something for everyone. Occasionally the quantities can seem a little on the excessive side if you're cooking for one or two but the recipes I've tried have been easy to scale down if deemed necessary (honestly the food so far has been so tasty that extra portions are necessary, not just preferable). Another review indicates that this book is fairly basic, and while I would agree that it is suitable for beginners as none of the steps are too advanced, I would also say that even if you already have a good grasp on cooking you may still enjoy this simply for the little extras she includes in what are otherwise traditional meals (case in point, her mac and cheese with garlic breadcrumbs -mmmmmmm). The recipes also benefit from what I have found to be a rarely found factor in many cookbooks, they actually look like the photo in the book! And while taste is all that really matters, plating something up for family and friends that looks like you ran it home from your favourite restaurant is a pretty satisfying feeling. All in all I love this book, and think it's well worth the price. In fact my mum pulled it off my shelf earlier, read through half of one recipe and immediately demanded I get her a copy, so I suppose in that respect I've committed to it being worth twice the price!
