great game
New to the game, took me 2 hours to get through the rules, and another 2 hours to complete first game(2 players). Once the learning is done, the game is really fun. There’s no luck involved, you play with strategy.

Great remix of Terra Mystica
If you're looking at this game due to its similarity to Terra Mystica, this is mostly the same game but with variable endgame scoring, much more interesting faction abilities, and way more flexibility in building/town placement. Because of this game, I will never play TM again despite that still being one of the best games I own. Highly recommended if you know you'll like this style of game, but be aware that the systems are complicated beasts with a whole lot of integrated moving parts.

Awesome Board Game
Gaia Project is a little complicated at first, but helps immensely if you play with someone who knows what they're doing. Once I figured out the game, I wanted to play a second round again!

Good game for people who like complex games
If you're a board game geek and lucky enough to know other board game geeks, you can have lots of fun with this game. I recommend buying overlays that help prevent the pieces from sliding around on the player boards. It has a lot of replayability with all the factions. It's even better than Terra Mystica!

The #1 Highly Complex Board Game I Own
At first I thought this game as too complex, but I didn’t give up. Likened it to Stockholm Syndrome, as I lost repeated face to face and on BGA. But I didn’t give up today I made a tech tree advanced tech tile move that beat the gaming buddy who had destroyed me, 83 VPs to 66.I love Terraforming Mars and Underwater Cities and enjoy Beyond the Sun, but this now one of my top four SF theme games.

One of My Favorite Games
If you love Terra Mystica, you will also love Gaia Project. It builds on Terra Mystica and improves it in several ways. Each game plays very differently, and there's no single strategy like the single brown favor tile in Terra Mystica.I hope that they will release an expansion soon!

Long gameplay, poor instructions
Just wanted something different. Longer gameplay than expected for first 2 games; 9hours 1st game and 8 hours second game (4players). Gameplay instructions could use improvement especially at over $100 cost of game. Had to YouTube gameplay to get a better understanding of how to play. A lot going on in the game, even the YouTubers I saw were having a difficult time keeping track of the 2 end of game bonus tracks. Other than that I like the game and hopefully after learning and playing enough times that gameplay should come down to a reasonable time.
